Nelson -- Kae Nelson, of Albuquerque, passed away on July 20, 2002. She was nearing her 71st birthday, having been born on July 28, 1931 in Duluth, MN. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harold. They were married in Minneapolis, MN on June 23, 1951. She is also survived by four children: daughters Susan Nustad and her husband Rob of Owatonna, MN; Salli Nelson and her husband Bruce Donaldson of Chandler, AZ; Sandy Ilii and her husband Vince of Bloomington, MN; and by her son Jim Nelson and his wife Jo of Zhangjiakou, China. Kae is also survived by five grandchildren: Beth, Tim, Monica, Sammi Jo, and Nick. Kae and Harold were residents of Bloomington, MN for 32 years. They moved to Albuquerque in 1986, to Dallas in 1990, and back to Albuquerque in 2000. Kae had attended the University of Minnesota. She had worked as an office manager and bookkeeper. She was a devoted Christian with a strong Lutheran background. In Albuquerque, she and Harold were members of First United Methodist Church and its Two Som Sunday School class. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 4th & Lead, Albuquerque, on Wednesday, July 24, at 10:00 am with Dr. Terry Anderson officiating. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Box 1638, Albuquerque, NM 87103 or to The Shriners' Hospitals.
