Picchione -- Michele René Picchione, age 30, passed away July 23, 2002 after a two year battle with lung cancer. She attracted media attention in her battle with cancer by local Albuquerque media and the Los Angeles Times. Michele is survived by her husband, Stephen Picchione, an Albuquerque Police Officer; mother, Lucia Hernandez; sister, Kimberly Reed; grandmother, Beatrice Hernandez; and numerous cousins, uncles and aunts. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. A Private Service was held for family and close friends at the family home. On behalf of Michele, we would like to thank everyone for all the love, prayers, and support.
