Stone -- Edna Mae Stone, 97, died Wednesday, August 14, 2002. She is survived by her son, Jim E. Stone and wife, June of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Jana Kendzior of Phoenix, AZ and James E. Stone and wife, Tena of Henryville, IN; great-grandchild, Taylor Jackson Stone; sisters, Dorothy Peters of Tishomingo, OK and Emma Jo Burris of Canyon Country, CA; and brother, Haskel Fagan of Conway, AR. Edna taught school for 40 years. During those years, she taught at Lew Wallace Elementary in Albuquerque where she retired in 1977. Edna moved to Chandler, AZ in 1992 to be with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Forrest Raymond Stone"Dutch". Services will be held Saturday, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Saturday, 1:00 p.m. until service.
