Strickler -- James A. Strickler, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1962, died Thursday, August 29, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ellen Strickler of Albuquerque; three daughters, Shirley Johnson and husband, Fred of Albuquerque, Patricia Collins and husband, Patrick of Peck, KS and Karen Strickler of Albuquerque; one son, James E. Strickler and wife, Patricia of Boston, MA; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Johnson, Melanie Menon, Shauna Collins and Kate Strickler; and one great-grandchild, Karena Collins. Mr. Strickler served with the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He had worked for the State of New Mexico as an auditor. Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Rev. Lemuel M. Boyles officiating.
