Semones -- Theresa D. Semones, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, passed away September 27, 2002, after a long illness. She was born in Grants, New Mexico, on May 6, 1935.¯She is survived by her husband, Elmer L. Semones, of Albuquerque.¯They were married October 6, 1956, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.¯She is also survived by daughter Dee Dee Semones and Steve Rainey of Tucson, Arizona; son Richard Semones and wife Martha of Albuquerque; son Michael Semones of Albuquerque; daughter Donna Semones and Mike Foulds of Livermore, California; grandchildren Chance Richard Semones of Albuquerque, Jessica Marie Foulds and Jeremy Foulds of Livermore, California, and Julie Martin of Santa Cruz, California. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Gallegos and wife Sylvia of Big Springs, Texas; sister-in-law Louise Gallegos of Albuquerque; sister Margie Hanley and husband Leon of Palm Springs, California; and many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.¯She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lucy Gallegos; brother Henry Gallegos Jr. and wife Vera; and brother John E. Gallegos. Theresa worked at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic church and school from 1961 to 2001. She dedicated her life to her God, church, and family, and ministered her care and love to her parishioners, staff, parents, and especially the children.¯Those she knew were never refused and always comforted.¯She loved her family and friends, the Dallas Cowboys, triple-chocolate anything, Dunkin¯ Donuts, telling stories, and a good joke.¯Theresa will live forever in the hearts of those she loved. A rosary will be recited on Monday, September 30 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 811 Guaymas Place NE.¯A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 1, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, which will be co-celebrated by Father Ed Domme and Father Ronald Bruckner.¯French Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
