Sullivan -- Alice M. Sullivan, 78, died Tuesday, October 29, 2002. Alice was born on her family's farm near Kintyre, ND on March 23, 1924. Alice completed her nurses training at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, MN and served as a nurse cadet at Fort Carson, CO in WWII. She was working as a RN in Billings, MT when she met and married her future husband, Clarence (Sully) Sullivan in August 1953. They had two children. The family lived in Montana and Iowa before moving to Albuquerque in 1971. After raising her two children, Alice returned to her nursing career at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospital where she enjoyed working with patients until she retired. Alice is survived by her husband, Sully; her daughter, Marjean and husband, Ben Barthell of Minneapolis, MN and her son, Clay and partner, Sue Kent of Soldotna, AK; and grandsons, Sam and Jack Barthell. Alice will always be remembered for her Ole and Lena jokes, her love of travel, her cinnamon rolls, and her unwavering principles. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2002, at 1:30 p.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, 10000 Spain NE. Interment will take place at Tell Cemetery in Kintyre, ND. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Friday, November 1, 2002, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
