Przystas -- Mary Anne Przystas died November 13, 2002 after a brief illness. She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1922. Mary Anne received her nursing degree from Mount Mercy College in San Diego where she met her husband, Hank, to whom she was wed for 53 years. She was a psychiatric nurse for many years and most recently worked as a unit secretary at Presbyterian Hospital, retiring after 16 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank Przystas; and son, Mark Przystas. She is survived by her children, Jackie Orr and husband, Dick Orr, her favorite son-in-law; her son, Chris Przystas; her brother, Joe Mateju; and grandsons, Scott and Jason Orr. She is also survived by cousin, Joe Forman and wife, Jean, of Omaha, Nebraska and Johnny Forman also of Omaha. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2002 at John XXIII Catholic Community 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE. A private interment will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Cremation will be handled by the American Burial & Cremation Center with Services under the direction of Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
