Luna -- David A. Luna Sr., 73, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side on November 14, 2002. Mr. Luna is survived by one son, David Luna Jr. and Tish Jones; one daughter, Linda Garza and husband, Joe; one sister, Agnes Mc Alear; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Luna was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Luna, 1998, a daughter, Stella Gutierrez; and a grandson, Angelo Garza. Mr. Luna was a member of the Catholic Church, a member of the V.F.W. Post 72, a member of the D.A.V., a member of the American Legion and the Zapata Club. Mr. Luna was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and U. S. Navy serving in the Korean War and World War II. A Visitation for Mr. Luna will be Sunday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 2:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. A final Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Father Joel Garner, O. Pream. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by the D.A.V. Chapter #3. Pallbearers will be Bennie Romero, Manny Vigil, Prospero Sanchez, Dean Harman, Bobby Luna and Tony Naverette. Honorary Pallbearer will be, Emeterio Rodulfo. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW in charge of the arrangements.
