Klein -- Steven Edward Klein, 51, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2002, at his home in Albuquerque, NM. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, at Christ Lutheran Church with The Rev. Raymond Mirley of St. Louis and The Rev. Greg Werdin officiating. Interment followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. He was born on June 11, 1951, in St. Louis, MO. He was educated in private schools in St. Louis, MO and was a graduate of the University of Missouri, board certified CPA. Steven was the founder, president and CEO of Delta Group Electronic, Inc., founded in 1987, in Albuquerque. Since then, the company has expanded with plants in San Diego, CA and Rockledge, FL, with the corporate headquarters in Albuquerque. Recognized by INC Magazine (INC500) in 1998, 1999 as being one of the fastest growing companies in the country. Recognized by New Mexico Magazine as one of top 100 privately held companies in the state. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Edward Klein. Steven was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and was instrumental in starting a Lutheran Grade School at the church. He was a patron of the arts and many civic and philanthropic organizations, New Mexico Symphony, Carrie Tingley, Lutheran Family Services, New Mexico Museum of Natural History, Christ Lutheran School, Lobo Club and Missouri Alumni Association. As a pastime he enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and playing golf with his brothers. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hagood Klein; son, Gregory Klein; daughter, Allison Klein, both of Albuquerque; his mother, Marjorie Klein of St. Louis, MO; six brothers, their wives and families; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Steven was the son-in-law of Louise and Tom Hagood Of Paris. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran School, 7701 Candelaria Rd. NE, 87110.
