Stublefield -- Andy Pete Stublefield, 39, of Los Lunas, NM passed away Saturday, December 7, 2002 after a lengthy battle with diabetes. Andy lived most of his childhood in Portales, NM and moved to Sanders, AZ where he graduated in 1981 from Puerco High School. He married Lynette Scott of Albuquerque in 1985 and they lived in Flagstaff, AZ for a few years. Andy worked as a firefighter and an emergency medical technician. After moving to Los Lunas, NM Andy worked for South Acro and served as an adjunct instructor at the state fire academy in Socorro, NM. He also was a captain and training officer with the Meadow Lake Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Meadow Lake Community Association. He was active with the American Diabetes Association as a counselor at Camp Triple D in New Mexico. Andy is survived by his wife, Lynette; their one daughter, Mila; his parents, Pete and Dee Stublefield of Colorado City, TX; his brother, Kelly and wife, Lisa Stublefield of Terrell, TX; his mother and father-in-law, Wade and Mary Lou Scott of Albuquerque; two sisters-in-law, Shelyce Brumfield and Tawnya Richard of Albuquerque; one brother-in-law, DeLano Scott of Pocahontas, IL; and many nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, an account has been established at Wells-Fargo bank to help defray medical expenses. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 13, 2002 at Bethel Heritage Church, 7800 Holbrook, Albuquerque.
