Gillespie -- Judy Gillespie, 59, resident of Albuquerque for three years, went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Jay Gillespie; son, R. Steve Gillespie and wife, Jane of Shawnee, KS; daughter, Susan Farley and husband, Ron of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Ryan, Michael and Andrea Gillespie and Jason Farley; mother, Lois ťMema French Stewart of Albuquerque; sister, Linda S. Butler and husband, Pat of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers, Jack T. Stewart and wife Linda Beth, Chester French Stewart and wife, Diana, Bob H. Stewart and wife, Barbara, and Rick T. Stewart and wife, Brenda all of Albuquerque; uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends all around the U.S. and the world. Judy was a gifted interior designer and she freely gave of her design talents to bless friends & family members. All of the French Mortuary Facilities and the Sunset Memorial Park Administration building were decorated by Judy. Her hobby was building, decorating, and furnishing a beautiful miniature doll house. Music was a great part of her life and a beautiful way she would minister for the Lord. She was an organist for the Free Methodist Church of Lawrence, Kansas, for 20 years. While her husband was stationed in the United Arab Emirates with the U.S. Geological Survey, the lord used her talents with the keyboard to help lead the worship services at the Evangelic Church of Al Ain. But most of all she adored all her grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd., NW with Rev. Winfred Walker and Rev. Gerald R. Farley officiating. Entombment will take place at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Pat Butler, Jack T. Stewart, Chester French Stewart, Bob H. Stewart and Rick T. Stewart. Friends may visit French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, Sunday from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Friends may make contributions to Gideons International, P.O. Box 80035, Albuquerque, NM, 87108.
