Lienau -- Mr. Steven Lienau died Monday, June 18, 2001 at the age of 40. Steven was born to Richard Michael Lienau and Camellia (Hening) Lienau in Albuquerque in 1960 and was raised in Corrales and Albuquerque. He joined the navy in 1980 and served for 11 years. He attained the rank of Petty Officer Second Class as a Corpsman. He was honorably discharged after having received numerous awards and medals including the Navy Achievement Medal. During his service, he was called to support Desert Storm. After being discharged from active duty, Steven entered the medical research field. He is survived by his father, Richard Michael Lienau and his step-mother, Bonnie Lienau of Pecos, NM; his mother, Camellia Hening of Albuquerque; a sister, Leslie Lienau Capshaw of Edmond, OK; and a brother, Chris Lienau of Simpsonville, SC. He is also survived by his three children, Christopher Michael Lienau and Elizabeth Anne Lienau of Corpus Christi, TX and Jade Kimiko Lienau of Thousand Oaks, CA. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM. Chaplain Patricia Mannion is officiating.
