Doan -- Patrick "Pat" Doan, 79, a resident of Albuquerque for 25 years, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Helen Doan; daughters, Judy Taft and husband, Stan of Huntsville, TX and Jannease Espinosa and husband, Ernie of Honolulu, HI; sons, Jon (Doan) Espinosa of Duncan, OK, Michael Eickmeyer of Tucson, AZ and Tom Eickmeyer and wife, Barbara of Flagstaff, AZ; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pat served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII with an honorable discharge as 2nd Lt.. He retired from Enron Corporation in 1988 after 25 years of service. Pat had a tremendous love for flying and building radio controlled airplanes and was an instructor for many beginner RC pilots. He flew RC airplanes for almost 40 years. Pat often said, "only fly on days that end in Y." A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. N.E., with Pastor Rick Donaho, officiating.
