Runyon -- Francis Sanchez Runyon, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, passed on Monday, October 08, 2001 to be with her Lord and Savior. The oldest of six children, Mrs. Runyon graduated from Immaculate Conception High School and attended the Business School Academy in Albuquerque. She returned to Las Vegas, where she was Secretary to the Director of New Mexico State Hospital. Mrs. Runyon also worked at New Mexico Highlands University as Secretary to the Controller. She and her husband moved to Albuquerque where they lived for a few years before moving to Dallas, TX. Mrs. Runyon was working as a Supervisor for Prudential Insurance Company when she retired. She is survived by her brother, Placido L. Sanchez and wife, Carmen of Albuquerque; sisters, Dolores and husband, Edward R. Collins of California, Carmen Lou Vigil of Albuquerque, Emily and husband, Dale Whitmire of Dallas, TX and Julietta A. Olguin of Albuquerque; sisters-in-law, Nan and husband, Gerald Woolam and Judy Kelly, all of Lubbock, TX; eight nieces; and nine nephews. She was preceded in death by her partner in life, Bruce Runyon; and parents, Placido and Mary Sanchez of Las Vegas, NM. Memorial Rosary will be recited Thursday, October 11, 2001, at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Memorial Mass will be held Friday, October 12, 2001, at 9:30 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will take place at 12:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, where Mrs.Runyon will be buried with her husband. Attendants will be Charles Vigil, Joe Sanchez, Mario Whitmire, Eluid F. Vigil, D. Dale Whitmire and Daniel Dean Whitmire. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial contributions be made to the Risen Savior Youth Ministry, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, 87109.
