Sizemore -- Luther A. Sizemore Jr., passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2001, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by Eula, his devoted wife of 46 years; also surviving are four daughters, Patricia and husband, Dennis Rowden, Maureen and husband, John Button of Oregon, Sharon and husband, Tom Brooks, and Jean and husband, Mike Congleton; and one son, James Ladell, all of Albuquerque; two sisters, Juanita Hutchins of Springfield, MO, and Martha and husband, R.V. Lynn of Edmond, OK; one brother, Arnold Gene and wife, Jeanne of California; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. As a strong labor leader, his life was devoted to the advancement of the working class people. His innovative ideas and compassion earned him the respect of his peers locally and internationally. Luther retired as Executive Secretary-Treasurer of New Mexico District Council of Carpenters. He was honored to receive his fifty year membership gold card. Luther loved his family, his union, and politics. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. at Carpenters Hall, 1021 Cardenas NE, Abq. 87110. (Ph. 268-4389).
