Henfling -- Mildred Nixon Henfling, my mother and best friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2001. A mother is a wondrous gift, God gives us from above To fill our days with warmth and joy, To fill our lives with love. Amanda BradleyMildred was born in Roswell, NM., on October 9, 1919, and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1936. She is survived by her daughter, Janice"Jan"¯ Kay Henfling of Albuquerque, NM. (Formerly of Denver, CO.); her brother-in-law, Henry Barsanti of Albuquerque, NM.; nephews, Ron Barsanti of Pagosa Springs, CO., Tom Barsanti of Chicago, IL., Bob Fleming, and Bill Austin both of Albuquerque, NM. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, George¯Bud¯ W. Henfling, Retired Major, U.S. Army, 200th Calvary, and sisters, Mary Pat Barsanti, Cherry Dennis, Beulah Fleming, and Besse Nixon. On Thursday, January 25, 2001 a viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1500 Chelwood NE., with Pastor Peter Schoew of Trinity Episcopal Church officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., on the same day. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation, in Mildred's memory, to the Alzheimer¯s Association, NM.
