Borland -- Harry C. Borland, 79, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away at home on January 21, 2001. He was born on February 22, 1921 in W. Union, Iowa, the son of the late John and Bertha (Johnson) Borland. He was a machinist and a supervisor at General Electric, and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque. Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Lois K., and his son, Peter J. Borland. He is survived by three daughters, Noreen Borland and Nancy Borland, both of Los Lunas, and Nadine L. Bengel, of Barstow, CA; his loving companion, Lois G. Butler, of Bosque Farms; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Palm Chapel at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2001 at 10:00 a.m., also at Palm Chapel. Pastor Larry Pierson will officiate. Pallbearers are Shane E. Rodgers, Troy J. Rodgers, Kris J. Borland, Billy H. Bengel, Jeff J. Bengel, Robert R. Bengel, Shannon J. Rodgers, Michael W. Edenburn, James W. Moore, Wanda J. Feldman and Jennifer D. Rodgers. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is in charge of his arrangements.
