Chalamidas -- Catherine Chalamidas, 87, passed away January 18, 2001. She was born in New York City August 28, 1913. Her family moved to Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Catherine and her husband, Louis moved to Albuquerque with their children in 1947. They were in the bar and restaurant business. In the 1950's they were owners of the Town House Restaurant & Lounge and in the 1960's they were owners of the Triangle Restaurant & Lounge. Catherine is survived by her three sons, Thomas L. Chalamidas, Stewart Chalamidas and Chris Chalamidas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Sam and Gus Vagianos; and one sister, Stella Vukas; and many nephews and nieces. A Church Service will be held Sunday, January 21 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. N.E. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 22, 1:00 p.m. at the Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High Street S.E. with Father Mario Gianopoulos. Following the Church Service, Burial Service will be held at Fairview Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Chalamidas, Louis Chalamidas, Tasso Chronis, Jason Daskalos, Joe Giacomo, Jonathan Head and Nick Manole.
