Bloys -- Warren D'Or Bloys Jr., 86, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away at Aspen House, Thursday, April 19, 2001. Mr. Bloys was born to Warren D'Or Bloys Sr. and Lena Shelton Bloys oon March 5, 1915 in Fort Davis, TX. On October 8, 1938, in Fort Collins, CO, he married Genevieve Birch. Mr. Bloys graduated in Forestry from Colorado State University and worked over 30 years for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Colorado, Montana, and California. He was State Supervisor in New Mexico at the time of his retirement in 1971. He then developed a pecan orchard near Tularosa, NM. In 1984, he learned Navajo weaving and wove about 50 rugs and wall decorations. He was a very active member at First Presbyterian Church of Alamogordo and served as an Elder for several years. Mr. Bloys served during WWII in the United States Navy and was a member of the Rotary and Elks Club, and the International Pecan Growers Association. Mr. Bloys has been a resident of New Mexico since 1958. Mr. Bloys is survived by his wife, Genevieve, of the family home. children, Sandra Kay Roberts of Cherry Lake, Madison, FL, Jerelyn Bloys Eich of Las Cruces, NM, Warren D'Or Bloys III of Boulder, CO; grandchildren, Rebecca C. Eich, Jason E. Fink, Craig J. Eich, Lara N. Dillingham; great-grandchildren, Cole Dillingham, Zoey and Bailey Fink, Jacquelyn and Alexander; sisters, Elizabeth Parker of Portland, OR and Mildred Nored of Fort Davis, TX; and five step-children; and four great-step-grandchildren. At his request cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Alamogordo, 1318 14th Street, Alamogordo, NM 88310 or to the First Presbyterian Church, 103 E. Ave. C, Fort Davis, TX 79734.
