Martinez -- Ambrose Garcia Martinez,92, returned home to the Lord on April 28, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Martinez. She is survived by her son, Arthur Garcia Sr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; step-son, Johnny H. Martinez, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; good friend, Mary Gonzales; sisters, Adelina Romero, Irene Rosales, Mary Atwell, Modesta Gallegos and husband, Ben; she is also survived by five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lovelace Medical Center and Los Amigos Shelter Care for their care and compassion.
