Tricoli -- Jim Tricoli, 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000 at home after a battle with cancer. He was born on April 9, 1926 in Buffalo, NY to Raymond and Anna (Amico) Tricoli. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Anderson Tricoli of Albuquerque; daughter, Joanne Blackwell of Phoenix, AZ; sons, Robert and Michael Tricoli, both of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Bess Lonzi and husband, Albert, Jo DeLozier and husband, Bill, and Camille Jeris, all of Buffalo, NY; brother, Paul Tricoli of Santa Fe, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Tricoli; and sister, Rose Silvestro. Mr. Tricoli retired after 24 years from Communications Workers of America Union. He was employed for 19 years by Western Electric Co. in Buffalo, NY. Mr. Tricoli served in United State Marine Corps. during WWII at the Battle of Iwo Jima and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Vu -- Kham Khal Vu, 72, a resident of Albuquerque for six years, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Mui Thi Dang of Albuquerque; and eleven children. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University, NE. Whalen -- Debralee Karen Whalen, born July 1, 1952, in Denver, CO, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, surrounded by family, friends, and Winnie the Pooh. She is survived by her children, Lisa, John and Zack Whalen; her parents, Virginia and Sherman Jones; her sister, Jill Roberts and several nephews, all of Albuquerque. Her positive attitude, fun personality, and keen sense of humor will be dearly missed. Debbie was a Disney fan for most of her life and visited Disney World and Disneyland more times than we can remember. Aragon -- Gorgonio J. Aragon, age 63, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Margie Aragon; sons, Delbert Aragon and Eddie Aragon; daughters, Grace Duran and husband, Orlando, Irene Aragon, all of Albuquerque; grandson, Miguel Andres Duran. Mr. Aragon retired from the City of Albuquerque. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 9, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with Deacon Al McLane reciting. Barnes -- John L. Barnes, a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years, died on March 7, 2000. He was born in Bokoshe, OK and was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. Mr. Barnes was a perpetual member of Murrow Lodge No. 49 A.F. & A.M. in Spiro, OK and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn June Davis Barnes in 1994. He is survived by sons, John R. Barnes of Albuquerque and Donald L. Barnes of Lakewood, CO; daughter, Myra S. Lyle of Albuquerque; brothers, Morris L. Barnes of El Paso, TX; two grandchildren, Jennifer Alton and husband, Scott of Concord, CA and Greg Barnes of Lakewood, CO; and a great-granddaughter, Kearsti Chanel Alton of Concord, CA. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2000 at Chapel of Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Brown -- Sonya Marie Brown, 19, passed away March 4, 2000. She is survived by son, Antonio Brown; mother, Heather Atencio; father, Dale Brown; sisters, Ashley DeWitt, Anna Maxey; grandparents, Kay and John DeWitt, Jean Brown; aunts, Charolette Garcia, Renee Atencio; uncle, William Brown; numerous other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Buescher -- Gene Sherritt Buescher, widow of Charles Malcolm Buescher, Jr., residents of Albuquerque since 1958, passed away Sunday, March 7. She was born July 21, 1914, in Marietta, Ohio. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees from University of Illinois. She had been a very active real estate broker since 1958, previously associated with Brown Realty Company and most recently with Margo Gordon Realtors. She was always active in civic affairs, and she served as a member and Vice President of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta during its first five years. She was Albuquerque Realtor of the Year in 1967, New Mexico State Realtor of the Year in 1970, National President of The Women's Council of Realtors in 1972, and President of the Realtors Association of New Mexico in 1975. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Sally) Del Monte and son-in-law, Kenneth Del Monte of San Francisco, CA; her step-daughter, Cathy Brown of Houston; and her step-son, Michael Buescher of Odessa, TX. Her surviving brothers and sisters are James Sherritt of Kerrville, TX, George Sherritt of Boulder, CO, Mary Louise Eilar of Whittier, CA, and, Cynthia Richards of Emmitt, ID. She is also survived by her niece, Sherry Ann Perry of Corrales; and many other out-of-town nieces and nephews. Mass will be held at the Hospital Chapel, 2nd Floor, St. Joseph Medical Center, Main Downtown Hospital, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2000. There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Gene's life on Sunday, March 12, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at the family residence. Donations to the charity of choice. Carrillo -- Isabel L. Carrillo died in Albuquerque at the age of 36. Isabel is survived by her father, Arnold Carrillo; mother, Lucille Carrillo; son, Joseph Carrillo; daughter, Mary Carrillo; brother, Teddy Carrillo; and grandson, Jose Carrillo. Gabbel -- Mary Ellen Gabbel, 81, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 7, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Edward J. Gabbel of Albuquerque; daughter, Barbara Sayers and husband, Larry of Edmond, OK; son, John Gabbel and wife, Shirley of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Shirene Fischer and husband, Todd, Kevin Sayers, Jared and Jaclyn Gabbel; sister, Ann McHargue; and many other family and friends. She was a member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church and Golden Circle Bible Study Class. Mrs. Gabbel was involved with prayer ministry for many years. Jaquez -- Baby Adina J. Jaquez died Monday in Albuquerque. Adina is survived by her parents, Ray Jaquez and Amanda Garley of Los Lunas; grandparents, Gilbert and Esther Garley of Los Lunas and Richard Vargas and Regina Quijada of Los Angeles, CA; her sister, Kayla Jaquez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and family who loved her very much. Funeral services for Adina will be held on Friday at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt.
