Cohen -- Rebecca (Betty) Cohen, age 91, passed away on March 8, 2000. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from South High School in 1926. Betty worked in the shoe department at Dayton's in downtown Minneapolis until her move to California in 1929. She was proud of having sold shoes to the movie stars at Bullock's Wilshire during the thirties and forties. Betty was a lifelong sports-woman, enjoying speed-skaking, tennis, swimming and horseback riding, and was still taking exercise classes through her 91st birthday. Betty met her husband, Morrie on a blind date and was married from 1943 until his death in 1996. She had one daughter, into whom was poured her love, and her values of kindness, respect, and responsibility. Betty enjoyed motherhood immensely, being active in the P.T.A., and as a co-leader for the Brownies and Girl Scouts. She did volunteer work at the Jewish Home for the Aged in Encino, California and was a member of the board at Westwood Temple, and in later years attended Temple Judea in Encino. Betty and Morrie moved to Albuquerque in 1993 to be near family. She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and Fred Hearn; granddaughter, Deborah Hearn Ferguson and husband, Todd; their sons, Nathan and Nickolas and dear friends, Mary and Norman Choate; brother-in-law, Joseph Lapp of Minneapolis, MN; as well as many nieces and nephews in California, Minnesota, Connecticut and Georgia, who will all greatly miss her. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 10, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. in Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale SE, with Rabbi Isaac H. Celnik officiating. Gallegos -- Rocchina Casey Gallegos, 20 years old, passed away on March 8, 2000 in Albuquerque. She is survived by her mother, Cheryl; father, Steven; daughter, Eva; grandfather, Harold; sisters, Cody and Cheyenne; brothers, Nathan and Matthew and wife, Lorrie. She is also survived by family, Dianna, Loriann, Kelley, Leroy, Buster, Eric, Marc, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Cobey, Miko, Bonnie Santina, Matthew, Santiago, Liz, Benji, Cisco, Jake, John, Cat, Sam; and numerous friends and relatives. Huddleston -- Buster Huddleston, 93, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2000. He was born in Holdenville of the Oklahoma Territory on September 19, 1906. He was a longtime resident of Raton, and recently of Albuquerque. Mr. Huddleston is survived by his sister, Penola Allenbach of Sun City, CA, recently of Pueblo, CO; sons, David Huddleston and wife, Betty, Allan Huddleston and wife, JoAnn, all of Albuquerque, and Sid Huddleston and wife, Irene of Pueblo, CO; granddaughter, Lori Welsh and husband, Terry of Gilbert, AZ; grandsons, Robert Huddleston and wife, Mary of Albuquerque, Buster Huddleston and wife, Kelly of Houston, TX, James Huddleston and Jeffrey Huddleston, both of Pueblo, CO; great-granddaughters, Brianna and Amanda Huddleston, Morganne Welsh, Jordan Park, and Jamie Hosey; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mae Huddleston; brothers, Sid Huddleston and Jack Huddleston; and sisters, Althea Kerns and Juanita Kline. In his youth, he was basketball star for Holdenville High School. Buster retired from the AT&SF Railroad in 1971. He was an active (now retired) member of the United Transportation Union (UTUAI). He lived with his son, Allan and family for the last six years. Buster was a member of the Gate City Masonic Lodge, #11 of Raton; the York Rite Commandary of New Mexico; Ballut Abyad Shrine and for the last 55 years; a Life Member of the Elks Lodge No. 865 of Raton. Graveside services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Mr. Huddleston's grandchildren. Jeter -- Lois E. Jeter - (Pat) - AC5RM, 60 years old, born March 16, 1939, passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2000 in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Fred (Bud) Jeter; her mother Lois Long; her daughters, Dorothy Jeter, Karen Hubert and husband Louis, Lorene Rivera, and Freda Thomas and husband, Chris. Lovato -- Maximo Lovato passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Dora Lovato of Albuquerque; sons, Robert Lovato and wife, Lillian of San Luis, Anthony Lovato and wife, Isabel of San Luis, Joe Lovato also of San Luis, Andrew Lovato of Bernalillo, Alex Lovato and wife, Christine of Pena Blanca; and a daughter, Christine and husband, Joe Valdez of Albuquerque; step-children, John Garcia of Albuquerque, Michelle Farmer of Albuquerque, Della Baca and husband, Rick of Albuquerque, Margaret Anaya and husband, Abel of Albuquerque, Pete Garcia and wife, Lorraine of Albuquerque, Rosemary Garcia of Albuquerque, Geraldine Lovato-Aragon and husband, Matthew of Bernalillo, and Ronnie Garcia and wife, Maria of Albuquerque. Also surviving are brothers, Noe Lovato and wife, Dorella of Tome, Adan Lovato of Bernalillo, Primitivo Lovato and wife, Erlinda of Bernalillo, Delfin Lovato also of Bernalillo; sisters, Emily Rael of Albuquerque, Evan Serna of Albuquerque, Erlinda Martinez and husband, Ralph of Corrales, Corina Apodaca of Colorado, Flora Montano and husband, Severo of Bernalillo, and Lucille Flores and husband, Joe of Albuquerque; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and step-grandchildren. Maximo worked for Kirtland Air Force Base for 33 years. He was much loved by family and friends, he will be greatly missed by all. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Macgillivray -- Brian Tosh MacGillivray, age 46, passed on to greener pastures Tuesday morning, March 7, 2000, as a result of a severe case of pneumonia and its' complications. Surviving Tosh are his wife, Janalie Bright; two sons, Brian Shane and Cody Lee MacGillivray; one daughter, Jennifer Bright; two step-sons, James and Joshua Bright; parents, Finlay and Molly MacGillivray; two brothers, Jim F. MacGillivray and wife, Jody, Jack MacGillivray and wife, Cindy of Albuquerque. Tosh was preceded in death, in 1978, by a third brother, Finlay Scott MacGillivray. He is also survived by three aunts, Betty Fletcher of Edina, MN, Jean Seth and Maxine Gerhart, both of Santa Fe; two uncles, Bill MacGillivray and wife, Charla of Boise, ID and Allan MacGillivray and wife, Violet of Santa Fe; two nephews, James S. MacGillivray and wife, Debbie, Jeff T. MacGillivray and wife, Liz, all of Albuquerque; three nieces, Tangi MacGillivray, Dawn Lopez and husband, Joey, all of Albuquerque, Leslie Melton and husband, Jeff of Dallas, TX. Tosh was a journeyman electrician by trade and a musician by hobby. He sang in various choirs at First Presbyterian Church as he grew up and also in the Manzano High School Choir. His passions were bluegrass music, stand-up and bass guitar. Tosh participated in several bands as a vocalist and bass guitarist. Other hobbies were fishing and the outdoors. He molded his life around these activities and will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. His quick wit and sense of humor were enjoyed by all who knew him. He was a man with a very gentle nature and we will miss him beyond words. Private services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2000. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens in Santa Fe. Moya -- Manuelita G. Moya went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2000 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is survived by her 12 children, Roberta Gallegos, Jerardo Moya, Larry Moya, Raymond Moya, David Moya, Lucille Torres, Rita Dimas Tapia, Priscilla Dimas Maldonado, Merlinda Dimas Miera, Mary Ann Dimas, Jose Dimas and Steve Dimas. She is also survived by 154 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Moya, Jr. Manuelita will be greatly missed by all of her loving family. Memorial services will be held at San Felipe Catholic Church, 2005 N Plaza NW, Albuquerque, NM. Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2000 and Mass will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2000. Olivas -- Sonya Teresa Olivas, age 14, a resident of Espanola, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2000 due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Sonya was a student at Los Alamos High School, a member of Unity Choir with Los Alamos High School, and involved with Cross Country, and Track and Field. She was also very active with the Potter's House Christian Center. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jose Rodriquez. She is survived by her parents, Andrew R. Olivas of Cuba and Irene Olivas of Espanola; her brothers, Carlos Olivas and wife, Maricela, Andy, Levi, Gabriel and Jesus Olivas, all of Espanola. Also surviving her are her maternal grandmother, Dolores Rodriguez of Los Alamos; and paternal grandparents, Manuel and Dolores Olivas of Albuquerque; two nieces, Markita Sanchez and Naomi Olivas of Espanola; best friends, Janelle Vigil of Espanola and Renee Olivas of Los Alamos; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. Funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 noon on Friday, March 10, at the Potter's House with Pastor John Vigil officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with the following serving as pallbearers Carlos Olivas, Andy Olivas, Levi Olivas, J.J. Olivas, Mark Shamy and Michael Kutch. Ronayne -- Mary Jane Ronayne, 71, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000. Schultz -- Paula Hernandez Schultz, a lifetime resident of New Mexico, went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2000. In passing she was surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Schultz who died July 4, 1980. She was an employee of Sandia Laboratories for many years and retired from Sandia in 1978. Her passion for work kept her involved in numerous volunteer organizations, including BRAVO and Military Widow's Association. She is survived by her three children, daughter, Delores and husband, Wally Cole of Albuquerque, Larry Schultz of New York, Raymond Paul Schultz and wife, Ellen of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Carla Torres, Anna Maria Torrez Cruz, Brynda Brodie, Barry Cole, Martin Curtis and Samantha Schultz; great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Joshua Guerin, Nickoelle and Jesse Cruz and Lucas Cole; great-grandson, Gabriel Guerin II.
