BOROWIAK, FRANCIS J. "FRANK" Age 64, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015. He was born in Berwyn, IL on July 11, 1950, to Frank Borowiak Sr. and Loretta (Kalka) Borowiak. He attended Morton Jr. College and St. John's College and received his Bachelor's degree in Divinity. Frank was a history buff especially Route 66 and also enjoyed NASCAR. He belonged to the Albuquerque Historical Society, New Mexico Historical Society, National Historical Route 66 Federation, New Mexico Route 66 Association, Anderson Abruzzo and the Albuquerque Balloon Museum Foundation. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus 4th degree, Latin Liturgy Association, and the New Mexico Right to Life Committee. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dolores Krause; and his brother-in-law Tom Krause. He is survived by sisters, Mary Jo Benco and her husband Don and Jeanne Adams and her husband Ernie; his brother, Hal Borowiak and his wife Paula; nieces, Sarah Jo Carr and her husband Heath, Jennifer Krause and Nathan Caruso,Amy Sedler and her husband Anthony, Sarah Seamans; nephews, Nate Benco and Monica Garry, Ben Borowiak and Crystal Francis, Joe Borowiak and Kristina Tackett, William Krause; great-nieces and nephews, Kaeleb, Zach, Ali, David and Isaac Carr, Beth and Ethan, Tyler Seamans, Nic Connor, Garry Benco, Kaylin, Kendra Fangio, Zoe Borowiak. GARCIA, EZEQUEIL M. Our beloved companion, brother, grandfather and friend was born on April 17, 1943 in Albuquerque and went to his eternal rest on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Albuquerque at age 71. He was retired from Asplundh after 30 years. Ezequeil was a long time member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garcia; brother, Mike Garcia and nephew, Lawrence Garcia. Ezequeil is survived by his life companion Phyllis Ulibarri; step children, Janice Rael and Sammy, Manuel Ulibarri and Anna, Laurie Ulibarri, Bill Ulibarri and Sandra, Dave Ulibarri and Ramona; two brothers, Robert Garcia and Nicki and Dalfino Garcia and Rosala; two sisters, Gloria Gomez and Geogia Dodson; sister-in-law, Diane Garcia; thirty seven, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; many nieces, nephews as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. APODACA, FIDELINA M. age 87, was born on December 23, 1927 in Cabezon, NM and entered into the Gates of Heaven on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM. She was a long-time member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Fidelina was preceded in death by her daughter, Antoinette and husband Ramon T. Apodaca; granddaughter, Savanha Montoya and grandson, David Apodaca. She is survived by her daughters, Luisa and husband Marvin Friedrichsen, Lucille Apodaca and Irene and husband Steve Lare; son, Ramon and wife Ellen Apodaca; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizda Lovato, Stella and Frank Brunker from Loveland, CO. TOWNE, LINDA born in Steubenville, Ohio on March 31, 1937 and passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015. She left behind her husband of 56 years, John M. Towne; her three children, Janet Berry, Jeffrey Towne and wife Jennifer, Jason Towne and wife Mary; grandchildren, Ryan Berry, Alysa Berry, Sofia Towne, Samuel Towne, Aidan Towne, Olivia Towne, Liam Browning, James Towne and wife Erica; great- grandson, Matthew Towne. JOHNSON, GEORGE GILBERT Age 84, was born on May 24, 1930 to George Gilbert and Blanche Johnson in Frankfort, MI. He died peacefully on March 7, 2015 surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, the love of his life for 59 years. He knew her since she was nine months old. He is also survived by his daughters, Cindy and husband Terry Hatcher, Angela and husband Roger Johnson, and Denise and husband John Benson; son, George Eric Johnson; grandchildren, Terriann Hatcher and partner Crystal, Amber and husband Chris Daniels and Brittany Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Cohen and Aislynn Daniels; many cousins; and brother-in-law, Paul Sandman; sister-in-law, Cindy Sandman; niece, Jenny; nephew, Jeff; and great-nieces, Olivia and Ava. He was preceded in death by their first son, Dane Gilbert Johnson; and parents, Blanche and Gilbert Johnson. George loved photography, camping, fishing, gardening, and being outdoors. He and Sharon loved dancing. Special thanks to the staff at Brookdale, Pace, caregiver Luella, Presbyterian Hospital and Pastor James Tsoodle. George graduated from Ludington High School in Michigan and attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. He served in the Army and then attended Northwestern MI College in Traverse City, MI and graduated on June 10, 1955. He then married Sharon Elizabeth Thurber at Trinity Lutheran Church on June 11, 1955 by Pastor J.C. Johnson who also married George's parents and Sharon's parents. The family moved to Albuquerque and he took the position as assistant administrator controller at St. Joseph's Hospital in 1977, and then he accepted a position at Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX as vice president of finances. From there, he returned to Albuquerque to accept a position as director of special accounting at Presbyterian Hospital where he retired in 1988. George was a member of H.F.M.A. and President from 1970-1972, the National Association of Accountants Board of Directors, and was on the board of directors of the Exchange Club. He was also a member of the policy making board of St. Francis Gardens, Chairman of Title 19 NM Medical Care Advisory Committee, Chairman of NM Hospital Association, and a member of Sisters of Charity. He served on insurance committees including investment for retirement fund financial directors committee and he served on Matrix of the National Board of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He received three merit awards for outstanding service from the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Follmer, Reeves and Muncie Awards. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. RAMIREZ, CATHERINE V. age 76, born May 26, 1938 to Alonzo & Francisca Van Damme of Albuquerque, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, entered into her Eternal Home, Saturday, March 7, 2015. Catherine is survived by her husband, of fifty nine and a half years, Tony P. Ramirez; children, Michael A. Ramirez and wife, Jane, Kathleen Ramirez, JoAnn Montoya and husband, John, Collette Archuleta and husband, Gary; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Catherine was preceded in death by her son, Thomas, and grandson, Jonathan Montoya. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt and friend. Catherine's pride and joy was her family for whom she cooked a Spanish dinner every Monday. She was a loyal servant in the Roman Catholic Community, and was a member of the Franciscan 3rd Order, the Legion of Mary, a Eucharist Minister, and was involved in the prison ministry in her younger years. Catherine taught Catechism and Confirmation for twenty-four years to hundreds of children at Queen of Angels Chapel, Santa Ana Pueblo, and Sandia Pueblo. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Aquinas Newman Catholic Center 1815 Las Lomas Rd. NE. Final visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Aquinas Newman Catholic Center . Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Archuleta, Adam Archuleta, Steven Archuleta, James Archuleta, Jacob Montoya, Jerry Sandoval.
