Healy -- Marie Jeanne Healy, age 81, died Monday July 23, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Michael Healy of Albuquerque, Kevin Healy of Colorado, Brian Healy of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Adele and Kathryn Healy of Illinois, and Brendon and Nicole Healy of Colorado. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Brendon Healy in 1988 and her son, Dennis Healy in 1999. Mrs. Healy worked as a Registered Nurse in Public Health for over 50 years. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday July 26, 2001 11:00 a.m. at Aspen Funeral Alternatives Chapel, 1935 Juan Tabo NE. Friends may visit Aspen on Thursday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.- Cremation will follow. Jenkins -- Mary Joanne Jenkins, 69, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday, July 22, 2001. Joanne was born November 15, 1931 in Greenville, MO, and lived in Albuquerque since 1961. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harry Jenkins of Albuquerque; sister, Marilyn Griggs and husband, Gregory of Bosque Farms; son, Douglas Jenkins and wife, Linda of Albuquerque; daughter, Vickie Avants and husband, Roger of Bosque Farms; grandsons, Kyle Jenkins of Vancouver, WA, Marc Shafer of Albuquerque, Ryan Jenkins of Corrales, Jason Shafer of Albuquerque, Greg Shafer and wife, Jill of Albuquerque, Brent Jenkins of Corrales, Angelo Micono of Bosque Farms, and Ethan Avants, 4, of Bosque Farms; granddaughters, Natalie Pitcher, 6, and Ava Avants, 7 months, both of Bosque Farms; three great-grandchildren, Pele Jenkins, 4, of Vancouver, WA, Bailey Shafer, 2, of Albuquerque, and Grayden Shafer, 6 months, of Albuquerque, and loving sisters-in-law, Hope Latimer and husband, Bill of Springfield, MO, Doris Fuller of Concord, CA, Mimi Hoffman and husband, Jack of Richmond, VA, Betsy Summers of Pittsburgh, PA and Jewel Ryan and husband, Gene of Cape Girardeau, MO. Longwill -- Mark Longwill, 43, a resident of Las Cruces, died Sunday, July 22, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Misty Longwill of Las Cruces; parents, Ben and Marilyn Longwill of Las Cruces; four brothers, Ben Longwill of Las Cruces, Neal Longwill and wife, Lynn of Austin, TX, Brian Longwill and wife, Debbie of Albuquerque and Lee Longwill and wife, Sharon of Rio Rancho; and several nieces and nephews. Luna -- Mr. Frank B. Luna, 66, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on July 21, 2001. Mr. Luna is survived by three sisters, Josephine Espinosa, Adelina Espinosa and Flora Trujillo; other family members and friends. Mr. Luna was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Balizan. Interment will follow at the Belen Catholic Cemetery. Private Disposition has taken place. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW in charge of the arrangements.

Lynch -- Elaine M. Lynch, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on July 22, 2001. She is survived by her sister, Kay Baker Gill; her niece, Jan Baker Corzine; her grandnephew, Jim Corzine, and her niece's husband, Norm Corzine. Elaine earned a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University, attended graduate school at the University of Chicago, and received a Masters in Social Work from Denver University in 1960. She was a retired executive with the American Red Cross where she had a distinguished 39 year career. Elaine joined the Red Cross during World War II, during which she served in military hospitals in England and subsequently in field and general military hospitals in France. She then had Red Cross field director assignements in Korea, Japan, Germany and in various military hospitals at bases throughout the U.S., including Sandia Base in Albuquerque. Elaine served as Assistant Director of Red Cross Hospital Services in Vietnam during the Vietnam War and then becamse Director of Reporting in Red Cross National Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Elaine completed her career at the local chapter of the Red Cross. After her retirement, she continued serving others through her volunteer work as a board member of both the local chapter of the Red Cross and St. Francis Gardens Nursing Center, and as an active participant in the Assistance League, the Ombudsman Program for the Elderly and the Gamma Phi Beta Alumnae Association, among other organizations. A private memorial service for Elaine will be held at St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church with the Reverend Jim Trainor officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American National Red Cross, 17th and D Streets, NW, Washington, D.C. 20006, or to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.

Martinez -- Mr. Ruben R. Martinez passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2001 at a local hospital with his loving children at his bedside. Ruben was born in Pharr, Texas on February 11, 1923. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Sadie Naranjo Martinez and brother, Arthur Martinez. He served in WWII under Gen. Patton and he was a Purple Heart Veteran having served in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a combat engineer serving in five military campaigns. He owned and operated his own Auto Body Business in the Albuquerque area for over 50 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman with a passion for the Jemez River and mountains where he grew up. He had tremendous faith and was a life long member of the Catholic Church. He had a special love for his family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a generous, compassionate father, grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Wright and husband, Raymond Sr., Karen Aceves and husband Henry, Laura Martinez and Lorraine Martinez, son, Michael Martinez and wife Frances, grandchildren, Raymond E. Wright Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Reina E. Wright, Erin and Ashley Aceves, Sadie Martinez, Christina Martines and husband, Vicente and Ruben G. Martinez, special companion, Sally Lopez and son, Orlando Gusman and wife, Roberta and children, Ashley and Jacklyn, great-grandchildren, Analycia, Elisa, Andres, and Mari Reya Wright and Selina and Isaiah Martines; sisters Henrietta CdeBaca of Albuquerque, Lydia Baca of Albuquerque and Margaret Orozco from Ashfork, Arizona. Visitations for Mr. Martinez will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Garcia Mortuary Chapel. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday July 26, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Ignacio Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cecilio Martinez, Freddie Martinez, Chucky Giddings, Lucy Garcia, Paul Orozco and Ryan McGuire. Rogers -- Betty Kerr Rogers, 58 entered into eternal rest July 20. She is survived by her husband of more than 38 years, Joe Rogers, their daughters and spouses, Sherri and Gerry Corley, Michele and Peter Rivas; and one son, Mack Rogers of Texas; nine grandchildren, Nicole, Rachel and Bobby Matson, Caitlyn and Gwendolyn Corley, Mack's son, Christopher, Celeste, Peter and Timothy Rivas. She also leaves a sister, Carol Kerr Lopez (Blue) and nephew, Travis Kerr. Betty came to Albuquerque in 1962 with the U.S. Women Army Corps. And made New Mexico her home for most of the next 30 years. She was a skilled medical transcriber and is fondly remembered by friends and former co-workers in N.M. and East Texas where she and Joe have resided for the past 10 years. We know her body has succumbed to the ravages of cancer but her spirit and her wry sense of humor lives on in those near and dear to her. Via Condios. Sanchez -- Jose "Joe" M. Sanchez, 73, passed away July 23, 2001. A longtime resident of Albuquerque, he was born in Cubero, NM., and retired from the United States Air Force, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #99, the D.A.V., and Holy Spirit Church. Joe is survived by his wife, Corina Sanchez; children, Joe Sanchez Jr. and wife, Helen, Miles Sanchez, Fr. John Baca and wife, Romey, Debbie Giguere and husband George, and Yvonne Blumberg; sisters, Nora Arguyo and husband, Joe, Connie Fleming, Henrietta Biggs and husband, Richard, Florella Buck and husband, Roland; brother, Jimmy Sanchez; ten grandchildren; two great-grandsons; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Holy Spirit Canadian Catholic Church, with a service of celebration on Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2001. Sedillo -- Helen, 78, passed away July 24, 2001. A native New Mexican, she was raised in Albuquerque, lived several years in Norwalk, CA., and returned to Albuquerque in 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Sedillo, and is survived by her sons, Freddie Sedillo, Ray Sedillo, John Sedillo, and Anthony Sedillo; daughter, Patricia Arroyo; brother, Salamon Cordova; grandchildren, Sherri, Jennifer, Janice, Joseph; numerous great-grandchildren; other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at St. Annes Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2001.
