DeLara -- De Esther DeLara, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, February 2, 2002. She was born on May 27, 1926 to Giacamo and Valentina Unale. She met Max DeLara in 1947, shortly thereafter they moved to Placitas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Max DeLara; parents, Giaccamo and Valentina Unale; brothers, Charley and Willie; and an infant sister, Rosie. Esther is survived by one son, Max J. DeLara of Albuquerque; daughter, Annette Y. Good and husband, Douglas of Albuquerque; grandsons, Christopher J. DeLara of Albuquerque, Nicklaus Good of Toronto, Canada; granddaughters, Bridget J. Good of Denver, CO and Amber Good of Toronto, Canada; great-grandson, Cameron Andres DeLara; two sisters, Mrs. Angelina Unale-Perales and Mrs. Tillie Unale-Martinez both of Gallup; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. Rosary will be recited, Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at San Antonio Mission, Placitas, NM. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Everett -- Mercedes "Babe" Everett, 89, died Saturday, February 2, 2002. She is survived by her son, Daniel ¯Michael¯ Jackson and partner, Rick Klotz, of San Francisco, CA; granddaughter, Jennifer Jackson of Point Roberts, WA; and brother, John A. Hughes of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Lynn Jackson and two sons; Carl Jackson and George Jackson, as well as her second husband, Thomas Everett. She was an active member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. She will be truly missed by a loving family all over the world and by friends both in Las Vegas, NM and Albuquerque where she lived for many years. Rosary will be recited Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE., with Deacon Leroy Martinez reciting. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas NE, with Father Michael Cimino, Celebrant. Interment will take place Wednesday, 12:00 noon at Mt. Geiger -- Marguerite (¯Patt) Geiger, was born December 14, 1925 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Dean and Ella Maye Kirkpatrick. She lived her early life in the area of Arkansas City and Ponca City, Oklahoma. The family moved to the area of Alto, New Mexico in the late 1930's and to Albuquerque in the early 1940's where she lived until her death on February 3, 2002. Patt married Hugh Geiger in 1948 and they raised four children. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, John. She is survived by her husband, Hugh; and her children, Deborah Hayes and husband, Brad, Mark Geiger and wife, Bernice, Kelly Geiger and Tonya Geiger; grandchildren, Brittney, Nathaniel, Vincent and Zachariah; sister, Edna Trant of Ponca City; stepsisters, Ann, Barbara, and Theresa; stepbrother Jim. Patt loved to play cards, dominos, Scrabble and golf, golf, golf. Patt was a devoted Christian who touched the hearts of many close friends and caregivers. She will be remembered by all. Memorial Service will held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 5301 Ponderosa Avenue, NE at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 with Pastor Frank Yates officiating. Henderson -- Ruth Marie Henderson was born October 23, 1920 in Nebraska. She passed away February 1, 2002 in Albuquerque, and was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Ruth Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Henderson and is survived by her loving family, Shirley Pacheco and husband, Jerry, Janis Kelton and husband, Johnny, Antoinette Garcia and husband, Valentin, Charles Henderson, Victor Sanchez Jr., Elisha Sanchez, Robert Sanchez Jr., Estrella Sanchez, Valentin Garcia Jr., Estevan Garcia, Cody Kelton, Katie Beth Kelton, Clay Kelton, Jay Kelton, Nicholas Sanchez, Victor Sanchez III; brothers, sisters, and many other family and friends who loved and will miss her. The Funeral Service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Gold Ave. SW. (Gold at Arno) on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Randy Walquist officiating. Herrity -- Edward David Herrity, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, died on February 2, 2002. He retired from Sandia National Labs after 29 years of employment. He was a long time member of SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Executives). Edward is survived by his children, Elaine Aaron and husband, Robert and Christine Thorson and husband, Robert, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Michael Niese of Orlando, FL, Erica Thorson of Albuquerque, Jesse Aaron of Austin, TX and Vanessa Aaron of Las Cruces; sisters, Eleanor McGarry of Long Island, New York and Sister Miriam Rosaire of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Laura S. Herrity; daughter, Mary Sue Herrity; and two brothers; and one sister. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Chapel, 7500 Paseo del Norte NE, with Deacon Manuel Montoya. Mcrae -- Donald C. McRae, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2002. He was Dean-Emeritus of the College of Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico. He served as Dean from 1978 until his retirement in 1986. Prior to his appointment as Dean, he was a professor of music theory and music history at UNM. Dean McRae was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Albuquerque for 22 years. He was particularly honored by the organization when he was given the Kiwanis Legion of Honor in 1999 and made a George F. Hixson Fellow in May 2001. The George F. Hixson Fellowship is one of the Kiwanis International Foundation's highest honors. He loved to play the piano and lead the singing for the patriotic anthem and song of the day at the weekly Monday meetings. He frequently composed original and often humorous lyrics honoring specific people, days, and events. He was very active in several charitable activities for the local club. He was most passionate about the New Day Shelters. Don McRae bas born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He served in General Patton's Army in France during World War II. Don received his higher education at the University of New Mexico. He was Valedictorian of the Class of 1948 when he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and subsequently earned a Master of Arts degree in Musicology. He did further graduate work at UCLA. He was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Kappa Lambda. He is survived by his wife, Donna McRae; his sister, Marianne McRae of Phoenix, AZ; his sons and daughters-in-law, James McRae and Judy Crovisier of Frisco, TX, Robert and Barbara McRae of Albuquerque and David and Cynthia McRae of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Tracy McRae; great-grandchildren, Meaghan Fraser and Taylor Wilson, all of Chandler, AZ; and nephew, Kenneth Benson of Clinton, Mississippi. Services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Harold L. Trott officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Niskala -- William J. Niskala, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, died, Sunday, February 2, 2002. He is survived by her sons, William Niskala Jr. and wife, Virginia of Phoenix, AZ, James H. Niskala and wife, Gayle of Charlotte, NC, Thomas A. Niskala and wife, Connie of Corpus Christi, TX; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Payne -- Spencer L. Payne, 57, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died Sunday, February 3, 2002. He is survived by his wife, JoNell Payne; son, Robert Spencer of Provo, UT; daughter, Donna Jo Bankey of Vancouver, WA; five grandchildren; mother, Mandona Payne; brothers and sisters, Rae Mortensen of Albuquerque; Ruth Palmer of Glendale, UT, H. Vern Payne of Belen, NM, Lloyd Payne of Lordsburg, NM, James Payne of St. Cloud, FL, Mary Hartman of Flagstaff, AZ, John Payne of Duncan, AZ, Roger Payne of Edgewood, NM and Judy Meyer of Sacramento, CA. Mr. Payne was retired from General Electric. He was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Beall -- Pearl O. Beall, 96, born in Mt. Vernon, TX. November 3, 1905 to Marvin H. Smith and Gladys Peterson Smith, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at the Belen Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was an active member of the Bosque Farms Baptist Church. Pearl loved to garden and fish. We take this opportunity to express our appreciation for the excellent care given to her at the Bellamah House in Albuquerque and the Belen Care and Rehabilitation Center in Belen. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. D."Jack" Beall; and son, James"Jim" Beall. She is survived by her sons, and their wives, Ray and Annadene of Peralta, Bobby and Emily and Larry and Bonnie, both from Albuquerque; her grandchildren, Bobby, Lynn, Lori, Cory, Troy, Leslie, Mathew and Nathan; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles; and five sisters, Ruth, Ellen, Mary, Ina Bea and Alice all who reside in Arizona. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.
