JESSE -- Annabelle J. Jesse, 70, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul C. Jesse; daughter, Debra Jesse of Las Vegas, NV; son, Phil W. Jesse of Gallup, NM; grandchildren, Rashelle, Bryleigh, John Paul; sister, Amelia B. Parker of Castle Rock, WA, Lillian C. Woolridge of Tucson, AZ, Florence M. Fennewald of Mexico, MO, Bertha M. Jones of Mexico, MO, Kathleen R. Wingo of Security, CO; and brother, Edward A. Juenemann of Roswell, NM. JOYCE -- Walter Robert Joyce, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away October 30, 2003. His wife of 29 years, Barbara, was at his side. Walter is also survived by his niece, Alice; and his three nephews, Reid, Alan and Walter. He retired from the University of New Mexico after many years of service. KILIAN -- Patricia ( Pat) Kilian passed away October 30, at the age of 50, less than four months after being diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Pat is survived by her siblings, Michael and Marsha; and her four children, Stacy, Jamie, Melissa, and Zachary; as well as her grandchildren, Brittany, Jacob, Tabatha, Anitriana, and David. Pat possessed great strength and openness. A mother to many -- her friends were lovingly welcomed into her family. An informal gathering to honor Pat's life will be held Saturday, November 8, 2003 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at the Ladera Golf Course, 3401 Ladera Drive, in Albuquerque. Attendance by her many friends is encouraged by the family.

KOSTELECKY -- Ray August Kostelecky, 71, a longtime resident of Albuquerque died Thursday, October 30, 2003, from a lingering heart condition. He is survived by his wife of 47 years and 11 months, Pamela Margaret Kostelecky; a sister, Janet and husband, Al; step-daughter, Wendy; sons, Steven and wife, Diana and Derek and wife, Becky; grandchildren, Duane, David, Sarah, Kate, Drew, Matthew, Lucy and Emma; and two cats, Sammy and Sophie. He was preceded in death by a son, Danny. Ray was born in Sargent, Nebraska on September 23, 1932 to August and Gertrude (Peters) Kostelecky. He graduated from Sargent High School in 1949 and entered the U.S. Air Force in 1951. He retired from the Air Force in 1977. Ray worked at the Risk Management Division of the General Services Division of the State of New Mexico from 1977 until retiring in 1995. He enjoyed music, especially country, movies and was a loyal Cornhusker and Cub fan. Services will be held Wednesday, November 5 at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Encryptment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. MCAULAY -- Claudia J. McAulay, 64, of Marble Falls, TX died October 29, 2003. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in Sandia Garden Memorial Park. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey White of Albuquerque; daughter, Barbara Apodaca of South Padre Island, TX; stepfather, Richard Foren of Cave Junction, OR; sister, Julie Holm of Tigart, OR; granddaughter, Breanna Apodaca of Marble Falls, TX; grandson, Adam Apodaca of South Padre Island, TX. Also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was a member of the Hill Country Single Club. She retired from Eatna Insurance, owned an antique shop in South Padre Island, then moved to Marble Falls, TX. She loved life, people, gardening, dancing and traveling.

PETERS -- Flossie Juanita Peters, 95, died Tuesday, October 28, 2003. She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Jo A. Foley and her husband, William (Bob) of Albuquerque, and Bette E. Brousseau and her husband, Armand of Los Alamos; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex (E.C.) Peters and a grandson, Michael Brousseau. She was the ninth child of Alnelva (Nellie) and George Barnes' fourteen children. She worked as a telephone operator in her hometown of Web City, MO, and then moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico when Rex was hired by J. Robert Oppenheimer to run a machine shop for The Manhattan Project. Flossie was a charter member of the Los Alamos Mesa Club and began the first senior girl scout troop in Los Alamos. She was also instrumental, along with others, in establishing a youth center for the teenagers in the isolated wartime community. After retirement Rex and Flossie moved to Arkansas. She returned to New Mexico in 1981 after Rex's death to live near her daughters. She moved to Albuquerque to live in an assisted living facility in 1995. Since 2000 she has resided at Vermont Manor. The family would like to thank Angela Johnson for the loving and excellent care she was given. Flossie's family will miss her playful wink and her smiles.

PINO -- Rosita M. Pino, A lifelong resident of New Mexico, 96, of Bosque, New Mexico went to the arms of the Lord on Thursday, October 30, 2003. Rosita was born on September 14, 1907 to Prudencia and Jacobo Montoya of San Marcial, Socorro County, New Mexico. Her birth was at a time when New Mexico was still a territory of the United States of America. Mom was surrounded by her loving family, in her home, at the time of her death. Rosita always had fond memories of her growing up and living in small New Mexico towns. These stories and memories were always passed on to her children. Rosita married Cristobal Pino, also of San Marcial on December 6, 1926. This loving union lasted until November 1, 1992 when the Lord called her beloved Cristobal. Rosita gave birth to 12 children, four who passed away in infancy and eight who survive her. Rosita is survived by one daughter, Mercedes and her husband, Pat Patterson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; seven sons, Pedro and his wife, Vera of Los Lunas, New Mexico; Mike and his wife, Emily of Pueblitos, New Mexico; Chris and his wife, Billye Rae of Pleasanton, Texas; Jake and his wife, Ryan of Houston, Texas; Bill and his wife, June of Bosque, New Mexico; Leo and Cecilia of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Lorenzo and his fiancee, Anna Musciotto of Los Lunas, New Mexico. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews; and caregiver, Tercila Zambrano. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma and Encarnacion and one brother, Leopoldo. Mom always taught us the values of an education, good citizenship, and faith in God, her children proudly profess. A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home on Sunday, November 2, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 2:00 p.m. A Christian Mass of Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2003 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Bosque Catholic Cemetery. Rosita will be laid to rest next to her Cristobal. Pallbearers will be her granddaughters. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ROGOFF -- Sanford Rogoff, 80, died Friday, October 31, 2003. "Rogey" is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beverly; three sons, Bruce, Jonathan, and Eric; daughter-in-law, Madeline, and twin granddaughters, Lana and Melanie Rogoff. Rogey served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado. He also received his degree in accounting from Denver University. He moved to Albuquerque in 1949 and worked for Sandia Laboratories. After working for Sandia he began working as an accountant in 1953 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1955. Over the past 50 years, he has been associated with a number of Albuquerque accounting firms: Glassman & Rogoff; Rogoff & Youngberg; Rogoff, Diamond & Walker; Rogoff, Erickson, Diamond & Walker; and REDW. He was President of the New Mexico Society of CPAs in 1965, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997. He served as Treasurer and board member of New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Jewish Family Service, United Jewish Appeal, and B'Nai Israel Synagogue. Rogey was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, known for his great sense of humor, elegance, friendliness, and integrity. He was much loved and respected by his family, colleagues, and many friends, all of whom always looked to him for guidance in all aspects of life. He will live forever in our hearts and memories. Funeral Services will he held Monday, November 3, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., at B'Nai Israel Congregation, 4401 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. An evening memorial service will also be held Monday, November 3, 2003, at 5:30 p.m., at B'Nai Israel Congregation. RUSSELL -- Margaret C. Russell, 68 resident of Albuquerque for 52 years, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2003. Beloved mother of Marie Apodaca, Clair Apodaca-Debrix, Karen Segura, Annette Apodaca-Wilson, Patrick Apodaca and Kathleen Apodaca-Matier. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia Nipper, Mary Ann Paulson, and Elizabeth Lindgren; and other family members and friends who loved her and will miss her. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Neuzil; her granddaughter, Angela Apodaca; her brother; and her parents. TALAMANTE -- Antonia "Tony" Talamante, 77, a resident of Albuquerque for 60 years, died, Friday, October 31, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Guadalupe "Joe" Talamante of Albuquerque; children, Edwina and husband Juan Bosquez, Dorothy and husband Gene Sanchez, Vernie Talamante and wife Christina, Alex Talamante, Michael Talamante and wife Marcella, Mildred and husband Johnnie Baldonado, Isabel Talamante, Nancy Ipiotis, Guadalupe Talamante, Jr. and Mary Garcia, Katy and husband Tony Benavidez, Lawrence Talamante and wife Denisha, Brenda and husband Greg Stagner, Patrick Talamante and wife Rachael; 50 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, and one great grandchild; and special friend, Anna Trujillo. Mrs. Talamante was preceded in death by her son, Gilbert Talamante; her granddaughter, Mercedes Talamante; and her sister, Sophie Hensley.
