PEREZ -- Mrs. Rita M. Perez, 82, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 4, 2003. Mrs. Perez is survived by her loving children, Margaret Garcia and husband, Marty, John A. Perez and wife, Maria, Frank P. Perez and wife, Mary Helen. Mrs. Perez is also survived by six sisters, Dora Chavez and husband, Nick, Mary Shultz, Pauline Armenta and husband, Greg, Gerry Marsico and husband, Don, Vangie Paiz, Louise Archibeque and husband, Jerry; four brothers, Charles Paiz and wife, Hazel, Sam Paiz and wife, Lena, Ron Paiz and wife, Bernie, Billy Paiz and wife, Gerri; a sister-in-law, Clarabelle Paiz; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Perez was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation will be Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steven Marsico, Billy Paiz, Gilbert Perez, Mario F. Garcia, Paul Perez and Isaac Perez. Honorary pallbearers will be, David Marsico, Phylisia Paiz and Marty Garcia. PETERMAN -- Billie Maria Peterman of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away October 30, 2003 after a courageous 2 year struggle with cancer. Billie's love for life and endless energy will be missed by all who loved her. Her sense of humor and endless generosity made this world a better place, and taught us all how to live life. She was born October 8, 1943 in Brownwood, TX to William and Sara Borders. Billie, both a registered nurse and certified public accountant, spent the majority of her career in healthcare financial management. She began her career in public accounting in 1980 with KPMG Peat Marwick in Albuquerque, NM. Billie left public accounting to become Chief Financial and Operating officer for Health Plus of NM, and VP of Finance for Presbyterian Healthcare. She later served as the chief financial officer for Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN, Catholic Healthcare West Shared Services in Phoenix, and Sutter Health in Sacramento, CA. Billie was preceded in death by her Mother who passed away on September 21, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Barry Peterman of Scottsdale, AZ; son, Patrick Martin of Phoenix; daughter, Lisa McClain of Scottsdale; father, William S. Borders, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; brothers, William Borders, Jr. of Enterprise, AL, James Borders of Jacksonville, FL, Richard Borders of Elizabethtown, KY; grandsons, Justin and Nicholas Martin; and 11 nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Messinger Mortuary and Chapel in Fountain Hills, AZ at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2003. Memorial contributions may be made to the Teal Posse of Arizona, 2316 E. Cortez, Gilbert, AZ 85234-3875, an organization committed to the early detection and research for a cure for ovarian cancer.

RODGERS -- Sister Marie, 79, a sister of Charity, Mt. St. Joseph, Ohio passed away November 2, 2003 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on December 3, 1923 in Albuquerque, N.M. to Edward and Mae Beaven Rodgers. She was a great sister and dear friend to all who knew her. She is survived by three sisters, Dola Clark, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rita Keer and Jane Mechenbier, Albuquerque; also two brothers, A.S. Rodgers, Paonia, Colorado, and Bob Rodgers of Albuquerque. A Memorial Mass will be held in her honor on November 28, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas Rd NE. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.

RUNGE -- Dr. William "Bill" Runge, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1940, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2003 at Albuquerque Care Center. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Bernice, on February 10, 1995. He is survived by is daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Bob Geilenfeldt; son, Robert Runge; sister, Laura June Keithly; sister-in-law, Arlene Wardlow; brother-in-law, Myron Schultz; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Paul and Susie Geilenfeldt; and granddaughter, Julene Geilenfeldt. Bill was a respected educator having taught at Albuquerque High School 1940-1946 and at UNM-College of Education 1946-1980. He also recognized the need for "job training" in New Mexico and initiated the first funds for "The TVI" 1976-1986. He was a member of NM Vocational Association, Phi Delta Honorary, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Elks Lodge, and Association of Retired Educators. After retirement he enjoyed family, friends and travel. A memorial service to Celebrate his beautiful life will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at Chester T. STENSVAD -- Irene "Peggy" Stensvad, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1979, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Stensvad of Albuquerque. Mrs. Stensvad was born in Chicago, IL to Emmanuel and Sophie Papadakis. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Mrs. Stensvad served on the Vespers Committee at La Vida Llena Retirement Community. She loved children and was a kind and giving person who will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Friday, November 7, 2003, at 2:00 p.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, 10000 Spain NE, with Pastor Luther Matheson officiating. TRAMMELL -- Ruth Trammell, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roy Trammell; son, Ron Trammell and wife, Pauline, all of Albuquerque; daughters, Jacqueline Holcombe and husband, Harold of Los Lunas and Lisa Motter; grandchildren, Matthew Trammell, Julie-Anne Trammell, all of Albuquerque, Holly Becker and husband, Waylon, Vicki Powell and husband, Danny and Neel Holcombe, all of Los Lunas; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill Brown and wife, Rose of Albuquerque. Mrs. Trammell was preceded in death by her sister, Vallie Bunker. She was a member of Valley Christian Church. Mrs. Trammell was past president of the PTA and was active in various community activities. She worked for many years as a secretary at the Rio Grande High School. Services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Valley Christian Church, 2850 Gun Club Rd. SW, with Pastor David Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. ARAGON -- Porfido A. Aragon, 45, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away peacefully on Friday at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his father, Salvador Aragon; and his grandfather, Concepcion Gonzales. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Sandra Marie Aragon of Los Lunas, NM; two sons, Jeff and his wife, Irma Aragon of Los Lunas, NM, and Jeeie and his wife, Angelica Aragon of Albuquerque, NM; his mother, Eutimia Aragon of Denver, CO; a sister, Bella Aragon of Denver, CO; five grandchildren including Dominic, Ashley, Marques, Ignacio, and Armando. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephew and other special friends. He attended school in Denver, Colorado and enjoyed driving semi-trucks, driving long hauls, his family, and the outdoors. He worked for Pete's Landscaping in Los Lunas for the past two years. A Prayer Service will be held this evening at 7:00 p.m. from Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd., Las Vegas, NM. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from the Assembly of God Church in North San Isidro, NM. The interment will follow in the San Isidro Labrador Cemetery. BACA -- Juan Baca, 59, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2003 in Albuquerque.
