He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Muriel Ann Fry of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; son, Ken Fry and wife, Diana of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Christopher, Harrison, William, Kendahl and Kenneth II; sister, Kay Hallowell and husband, Ben of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. HAMMOND -- Louise Miles Hammond, 86 passed away September 21, 2003 in Mesa, Arizona. Born May 3, 1917 in China, to Dr. Lee & Frieda (Shirling) Miles, Louise married Eugene Hammond on June 14, 1941. Louise loved to Cross Stitch and Quilt, winning blue ribbons at County Fairs and the New Mexico State Fair. She volunteered at the Lovelace Lake Hospital and was Mayor of Cochiti, NM. Louise lived life to the fullest and would always lend a helping hand. Her greatest accomplishments were her beloved children and grandchildren. Louise's husband, Eugene and her granddaughter, Kathryn Hammond preceded her in death. Louise is survived by children and their spouses, Jim and Dianne Hammond of League City, TX, Clive and Jean Hammond of Morrow, GA, Mary Ellen and Ron Griswold of Mesa, AZ; sisters, Carolyn Osborne of Los Angeles, CA, Elizabeth Barnett of Albuquerque, NM; brother and sister-in-law. Dr. Jim and Caroline Miles of Rancho Mirage, CA; grandchildren, Dan Hammond, Martha Hammond, Jennifer McCarthy, Lee Almond, Gwen Griswold & Ellen Griswold; great-grandchildren, Alex Hammond, Madison Almond and Tate Almond. A Memorial Service will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2003 in the Clubhouse at The Vineyard Mobile Home Park . LOVATO -- Mr. Alfred A. Lovato Sr., 82, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 4, 2003. Mr. Lovato is the beloved husband of 61 years to Mrs. Bertha Lovato. Mr. Lovato is also survived by his children, Roberta Montoya, Dorothy Garcia and husband, Frank, Alfred A. Lovato Jr. MD and wife, Catherine; grandchildren, Eric Garcia, Celeste Perea and husband, Daniel, Kim Bautista and husband, Paul, Michael, Marissa and C.J. Lovato; great-grandchildren, Danielle Perea and Bruce Bautista; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and patients. Mr. Lovato was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Ross and a grandson, Phillip Montoya Jr. Mr. Lovato was a member of the Catholic Church, Founder of Lovato Opticians, a Veteran of the U. S. Army serving in World War I I , Company A, 310th Infantry Division, Mr. Lovato was a Recipient of the Victory Medal, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, EAME Theater Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, Silver Star and American Theater Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Lovato was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post #99 and also a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A visitation for Mr. Lovato will be Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Winifred Klimka. A final visitation will be Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery with full Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Eric Garcia, Daniel Perea, Michael Lovato, Paul Bautista, Daniel Sanchez and Kenneth Ronquillo. MARTINELLI -- Richard V. Martinelli, age 67, a 35 year Albuquerque resident passed away November 2, 2003 after a long illness. A humourous, caring, and devoted grandfather, father and husband. He enjoyed conversing and joking with people, travel, camping, scuba diving, and driving. He will be greatly missed by his survivors. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln HS then attended San Francisco State University prior to accountant work for South Pacific RR. Eight years service in the Army included: Vietnam tour, USA Chemical School, Military Justice Education, Bachelor of Laws from Blackstone School of Law, and legal defense work. He received numerous plaques and awards. He left as a Major. For 30 years, he was employed by Hubbard Broadcasting as a RF Engineer in communications. He was predeceased by Patricia Evans Martinelli. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda; his children, Lisa Martinelli, and Lori and Nathan Griff all of Los Angeles, Amanda Boers and companion, Steven Bell of Dallas, Robert and AnneMarie Boers; grandchilden, Audrey, Gillian, and Rachel Griff, Matt, Raechel, Scott, and Mary Boers. His siblings are Pamela M. Monte, James and wife, Kathy Hall, Gilbert Martinelli, and Melodie and husband, James Mayo all of San Francisco area. MASSARONI -- Arnold K. Massaroni, 67, a life long New Mexico resident, passed away on November 5, 2003. Survivors include one daughter, Gina Romero and husband, Chris; one son, Tony Massaroni and wife, Lorilee, all of Los Lunas, NM; mother, Enola Massaroni; one sister, Gladys Kaplan and husband, Albert, all of Albuquerque, NM.; one granddaughter, Alyssa Romero; one grandson, Alex Romero; one nephew, Max Kaplan. Arnold was a member of the IBEW Local # 611. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2003 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors. MAXWELL -- Elva "Doris" Maxwell, 90, a resident of Albuquerque for 44 years, passed away, Sunday, November 2, 2003. She is survived by children/step-children: Don Maxwell of Lincoln, NE, Bill "Randy" Maxwell of Lecompton, KS, Merrilee Felix and husband Gary Felix of Moriarty, Sharon Aragon and husband, Gary of Moriarty, and Darlene Maxwell and husband, Morys "Peaches" Hines of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren/step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren/step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Zimmerman. Doris was an English teacher at Albuquerque High School and Kennedy Junior High School. After retiring from the school system in 1976, she worked for the Albuquerque Journal Newspaper in which she developed curricula to use the newspaper in the classroom as an educational tool. Doris volunteered numerous hours to the local senior citizens centers, KNME television station, the Erna Ferguson Public Library, Popejoy Hall at the University of New Mexico, and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at First Church of Religious Science, 3320 San Pedro NE, with Rev. H. Patrick Pollard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the All Faiths Receiving Home, 1709 Moon St. NE, 87112 or Casa Angelica, 5629 Isleta Blvd. SW, 87105. MILLINGTON -- David Millington, 69, passed away Monday, November 3, 2003 of heart failure following a battle with cancer and lung damage. A lifelong "shade tree' mechanic, David was owner of D & S Services on 4th Street for 15 years and before that of NM Word Processing Company, marketing and servicing NBI Word Processing systems. In Los Angeles, California, he worked as a Customer Engineer for IBM Corporation transferring to Albuquerque in 1971. He served as a powerman in Korea. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sue; son, Larry Millington; daughters, Cherie Basler of Lakewood, CA and Tracey Dotts of Broken Arrow, OK; and five grandchildren. MOORE -- The Rev. Dr. Marsha Ann Moore, 49, passed from this life to eternity with our Lord on Tuesday, November 4, 2003. She is survived by Kelley, Poco, Solomon, Salty, and Kona, her pets; Rev. Rayla, Rev. Dr. Jim and Stewart Hogue, her sister-by-heart and family of Hornersville, Missouri, Lena Johnson, maternal aunt of Roswell, New Mexico, cousins, and innumerable friends and colleagues. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Gerald and Opal Moore and an older brother who died in infancy. Marsha was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico, attended Elementary and High School there, graduated in1972 as valedictorian. She earned a B.A. in 1976 from New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, NM, with majors in English and Spanish; minors in Music and Secondary Education. She then went on to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX, earning a M.R.E. in 1978; The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY, earning an M.Div. Equiv., 1987; and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY, conferred Doctor of Ministry in 1993 with a specialization in Pastoral Care. Rev. Dr. Moore was Hospital Chaplain for St. Joseph Healthcare System from 1980-99 where she served as Floor Chaplain, St. Joseph Hospital, 1980-82; Evening Chaplain, St. Joseph Medical Center, 1982-88 and 1994-99; Senior Chaplain, opening and managing pastoral care department at St. Joseph Northeast Heights Hospital, 1988-92; Chaplain, St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center, 1992-94; Organist, Crestview Baptist Church, Albuquerque, NM, 1982-84; Organist, Heights Baptist Church, Albuquerque, NM, 1984-1998; Organist, Highland Baptist Church, Albuquerque, NM, 1998-99; and Pastor, Mountainair United Methodist Church, Mountainair, NM, from 1999 until her death. She was also a facilitator of seminars and retreats on prayer; State Certification Chair for Association of Professional Chaplains; an author of worship aids and curricula for Christian study; served as Dean of Albuquerque District United Methodist Elementary Camp, Sacramento, NM; was Worship leader of Albuquerque District United Methodist Elementary Camp, Sacramento, NM; Director of children’s choir; Writer of newspaper column, "Joyful Living"; Member of National Steering Committee, Baptist Women in Ministry and Parliamentarian; Pastoral care leader of Heights Baptist Church, Albuquerque, NM; Sunday School and adult Bible study teacher; and Choir member. Her secular activities included: Board Member, Inez Neighborhood Association; Participant in "Project Love", Inez Neighborhood Association; a member of Habitat for Humanity, a member of the Albuquerque Rose Society and an American Guild Organist. Rev. Dr. Moore celebrated her 25th anniversary as an ordained minister of the gospel ministry on October 21 of this year. She spent her life in service of our Lord and His people. She traveled extensively and especially enjoyed cruises where she could watch the sunlight dance amongst the waves, having most recently cruised the Eastern Carribean. She always teased that she would love to come back to earth as a botanist because of her love of growing plants, especially roses. Marsha embraced life to its fullest. When she heard the voice of her beloved Lord and Savior call she answered "Here I am Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart." In lieu of flowers, her loved ones request that memorial contributions be made to the Mountainair United Methodist Church Restoration Fund, P.O. Box 454, Mountainair, NM 87036, to restore the historic building where she spent her last years as their "Beloved Speaker of God's Word". MOSOW -- Linda Coontz-Mosow November 7, 1955 - November 4, 2003 A loving wife, a proud mother, a caring daughter, a truly loved sister, aunt, niece, cousin and a special friend to many, left us to join her Lord in Heaven. Linda Kathleen Mosow passed-away after a courageous battle with Cancer in Chandler, Arizona. Linda was born in Albuquerque, graduated from Sandia High School and attended UNM. Twenty-eight years ago, Linda married her special love, Michael Mosow. She was a proud, devoted and loving mother to their daughter, Kelly Ann. Linda spent her life caring and loving her family and friends. Never a day passed without Linda talking to the ones she loved. She was always a champion for the "underdog". Linda is survived by her husband Michael; daughter, Kelly Ann Mosow (also Skittles) of Chandler, Az; parents, Herb and Colleen Coontz; brother, Glenn and wife, Jackie Coontz; her deeply loved nephew, Casey Coontz; close aunt and uncle, Bobbie and Vern Kelley; special cousin, Shannon Skinner and husband, Chuck, their boys, Nicky (In Iraq) and Derek; all of Albuquerque. Linda has many close relatives and friends throughout the country. Their kind words, compassion, and prayers meant so much to Linda and her family. May God Bless you all.
