PAYE -- Elizabeth (Libby) Paye, age 85, a resident of Albuquerque for 53 years died on February 9, 2004, at home following a long illness. She is survived by daughter Lois E. Lawson and husband Bill of Snowflake, AZ; son Bob Paye and wife Theresa of Roswell, NM; sister-in-law Frances Gideon of Albuquerque; brother-in-law James Paye of Utica, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Herschel Paye. Elizabeth was a member of St. Charles Parish and the Ladies Auxiliary. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Charles Parish, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 12, 2004 at 9:30 am in St. Charles Parish. PHILLIPS -- Jane A. Phillips, 59, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 9, 2004, following an extended illness. She was born in Pryor, OK on December 1, 1944 and for the past 31 years has been a resident of Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Howard Phillips; her son, Duane, both of Albuquerque; her mother and father, Nancy and Carl Jordan of Farmington, NM; twin brother, Jimmy Jordan and wife, Betty of Bloomfield, NM; sisters, Donna Tobin and husband, Charles of Farmington and Peggy Chavez and husband, Lee of Albuquerque; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Eugene and David Leo Jordan. Jane was employed by Beitler Law Firm for the past 12 years as a Legal Assistant. She always enjoyed the simple things in life; being able to help family and friends, always being a pillar of strength for her family, always putting others before herself and always treating children as her own. Services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris NE, with Pastor Larry Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. ROACH -- Debora Dawn Roach, 43, a lifelong resident of Los Chavez, New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2004. Debby was preceded in death by her father William "Bill" Roach. She is survived by her mother Patricia Roach; and daughter Dawn Boelkins; two brothers, Michael and his wife, Ernestine, and Jerry and his wife, Joyce; nephew, Justin Roach; nieces, Jessica Roach and Elizabeth Peters; and great-nephew, Adrian Griego; and numerous other loving family and friends who loved her and will miss her. She was a 1978 graduate of Belen High School. She followed in her father and brothers footsteps with a career in Law Enforcement. Debby first served as an Open Space Officer in the Albuquerque area then as an Aviation Officer for the Albuquerque Sunport and finishing her law enforcement career as a Belen Police Officer. She decided to go into business for herself owning and operating a local establishment, and was a standing member of the Los Lunas Chamber of Commerce. She was a kind, fun loving person who was generous to a fault. Debby will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at 1:30pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm at Romero Funeral Home with Reverend Boyd Morerod officiating. Romero Funeral Home 609 N. SIEGLING -- David Floyd (Dave) Siegling, 80, died February 3, 2004 after a long illness. Dave was born in Las Vegas, NM in 1923 to Ludwig and Virginia Siegling. Dave is survived by his children, Jim Siegling, Mike Siegling and wife, JoLynn, and Peggy Dillingham and husband, Larry, all of Albuquerque; brother, Jimmy Siegling and wife, Olga of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dave served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and was a life member of V.F.W. Post 401 and the D.A.V., Chapter III. Memorial Services with full military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2004 at Santa Fe National Cemetery. A Reception will follow in Albuquerque at VFW, Post 401, 2011 Girard Blvd SE. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to V.F.W. Post 401 or D.A.V. STEPHENS -- Isabel Stephens, 69, passed away February 5, 2004. Isabel was loved by the children of Griegos Elementary and La Luz Elementary, and had retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools in 1993. Isabel was a life long member and officer of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 100, and was always there to lend a helping hand and care for others. She was the loving Mother of daughter, Kathy Silva and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Amanda Gonzales, Monique Silva, and Ruben Silva; great grandchildren, Desiree Gonzales, Joseph I. Gonzales, and Steven Daniel Martinez Jr.; special friends, Randy and Carole Ward, Sarah Grimm, and Pricilla Grimm. The angels have taken our beloved mother, grandmother, Great Grandmother, and dearest friend to join God In Heaven. God Bless You and Keep You Isabel. WELLS -- Dorothy Margaret Wells, 62, a resident of Albuquerque since 1975, died Saturday, February 7, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Doug Wells of Albuquerque; children, Donna Frasier and husband Michael of Albuquerque, Darrell Wells and wife Michelle of Moriarty, NM, Darlene Layton and husband Everett of Amarillo, TX, Diana Wright and husband Ronald Jr. of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Becky, Britney, Chelsea, Melissa, Shawn, Jessica, Amanda, Crystal, Brandon, Lacey, Brian, Christopher, Nichole, and Marcella; brothers, John Raby and wife Pauline of London, England, David Raby and wife Barbara of Ipswich, England, Michael Raby and wife Pat of Ipswich, England, Brian Raby and wife Janie of Ipswich, England; sister Mary Curtis and husband Peter of Ipswich, England; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, DuWayne, in 1963; her parents, Stanley and Alice Raby; and her brother, Peter Raby. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother who loved working in her garden. Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her husband, her kids, and her grandchildren were her life. She loved helping others and giving support. Dorothy was a very devoted Christian and was a longtime member of Ridgecrest Christian Church. WOLFORD -- Dr. E. Walter Wolford April 2, 1936 to February 6, 2004 Dr Wolford was a 20 year resident of New Mexico. Dr Wolford graduated from Iowa State University in 1965 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery and was selected as a member of the National Dental Honorary Society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He did his masters studies at Johns Hopkins University where he received a Masters Of Public Health in 1973. After graduation in 1965, He choose to enter the Public Health Service instead of going in to private practice, because he remarked " 95% of dentist provide care for 33% of the population; he choose to serve the other 67 %". His tireless efforts to achieve the greater good dominated his personnel and professional life. Dr Wolford had a 31-year career in the Public Health Service Division of Indian Health and rose to Associate Director of Information Resource Management in Washington DC. He served in the Indian tribes in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area for over 14 years. After retirement form the Public Health Service he served as dental director for the New Mexico Corrections Department, State Dental Director for the New Mexico Department Of Health, and as Assistant Professor Division Of Dentistry at the University Of New Mexico. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Marjorie; children Mikael, Pamela Mount, Jeffrey, and Erik; brother James Wolford; sisters Ardis Schwark, Fran Terhune, and Marilyn Allensworth; grand children Jessica Wolford and Sean Mount . There will be a memorial service held in his honor on Saturday, February 14th at 1:00 p.m. at St Johns Episcopal Cathedral 318 Silver SW with a reception to follow the event. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation in his name be made to the American Cancer Society.

BECKSTROM -- Kenneth W. Beckstrom 85, long-time Albuquerque resident, passed away February 5, 2004 in Littleton, CO. Born in Raynesford, Montana in 1918. Received Engineering-Physics degree from Montana State University in 1939, served in US Army Air Corps/USAF from 1940 to 1962, retiring with rank of Lt. Colonel. Retired from NM State Highway Department after 18 years of service. He married Marie M. Noll in 1951, who predeceased him in 1990. hey raised four children, son Eric (wife Jamie) of Albuquerque, daughter Martha McKinley (husband Bill) of Parker, CO, daughter Mauria Vokaty (husband Craig) of Highlands Ranch, CO, and son Charles (wife Lisa)of Parker CO. He served his country in WWII in the South Pacific with the 43rd Bomb Group and in Europe with the 398th Bomb Group completing a total of 63 combat missions. He was awarded the Silver Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, Purple Heart, and Distinguished Unit Citation with One Oak Leaf Cluster. He served as Squadron Commander in the Korean War. He is survived by his four children, four grandsons, Brad Beckstrom, Connor and Casey McKinley and Ryan Beckstrom. He married Dorothy Francis in 1993. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to a Hospice Program of choice. Memorial services pending. CORKRAN -- Mrs. Alberta J. Corkran passed away Saturday, February 7, 2004, in Albuquerque. Alberta was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Ray R. Corkran in March of 2001. Alberta was born Alberta Jean Headley in Smith Center, Kansas on January 9, 1915. She and Ray met while attending UNM and were longtime residents of Albuquerque. Alberta worked at Sandia National Lab for many years and upon their retirement, she and Ray enjoyed extensive travel throughout the world. Alberta is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Rajeane and J.T. Jack and Nan and Jay Hamner, both of Albuquerque; two grand-daughters and their husbands, Kristy and Rick Waldraff and Kara Lea and Steve Nixon, both of Abilene, Texas; one grandson and his wife, Jim and Kimberly Jack, of Arlington, Texas; seven great grandchildren; and an extended family of friends. Alberta's family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Harold (Trish) Davis for her professional expertise, loving care, and friendship. A family service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. GALUSHA -- Mabel Margaret Galusha, age 90, and a long time resident of Albuquerque from 1926 to 1989, died Thursday, February 5, 2004 in Phoenix, Arizona. She is survived by her daughter, Agnes Berdahl of Phoenix, AZ; son, Ray Galusha and wife Barbara of Seattle, WA; two sister in-laws, Marie and Lola Adams; four grandchildren, Robert Berdahl, Corey Gulusha, Sue Graves and husband Patrick, and Karen Galusha; one great-granddaughter, Allie Graves; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mabel served many years doing work for the Baptist Convention. She served as a dietician for The Baptist Camp for many years. Mabel worked with the youth at Highland and Hoffmantown Baptist Church for many years as well. She also served as President of Osteopathic Hospital Guild. Services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Broadus D. Hale Officiating. Graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
