Alderete -- Mrs. Irene S. Alderete, 59, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 4, 1999, peacefully at home in the arms of her loving husband. Mrs. Alderete was the beloved wife of 40 years to Fred Alderete. She is also survived by five daughters, Sally Montoya and husband, Andy, Suzuette Anaya, Joyce Alderete, Gloria Alderete and fiancee, Jerry Sisneros and Angelique Savedra and husband, Daniel; two sons, Chris Alderete and wife, Monica and David Alderete and girlfriend, Valerie Apodaca; her mother, Stella Martinez; two sisters, Rosemary Alderete and Alice Sedillo; two brothers, Tom Martinez and wife, Betty and Charlie Martinez and wife, Dorothy; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Cleofas Martinez; a daughter, Amorette Alderete; and a grandson, Fernando Anaya. Mrs. Alderete was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 500 Morningside NE, with viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. Father Eggert, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Alderete, David Alderete, Jerry Sisneros, Danny Savedra, Andy Montoya, Charlie Martinez and honorary will be Fabian Anaya. Baca -- Ben Baca, 33, a resident of Bernalillo, passed away Sunday, December 5, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Tasha Baca; his father, Juan Baca and wife, Bertha of Los Lunas; his mother, Viola Baca of Bernalillo; two sons, Dominic Valdez and Vicente Baca; one daughter, Francina Baca, all of Albuquerque; two brothers, Andy Baca and Juan E. Baca and wife, Jessica, both of Bernalillo; two sisters, Mary Arrellano and husband, Joel, Veronica Gurule and husband, Greg, both of Bernalillo. Also surviving are nieces, Ashley Arellano, Michele Gurule, Danielle Gurule; and nephews, Jerome Baca, Jesus Gurule, and Ricky Arellano; his special friends, Tony Riboni, Antionette Riboni, Brandon Hershey; and many uncles and aunts. Ben attended Bernalillo High School and also served in the Army National Guard. Ben also loved football and card collecting. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel. An evening service will be conducted this evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 9, 1999 at the Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at the San Carlos Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit today, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Andy Baca, Juan E. Baca, Greg Gurule, Joe Arellano, Edward Gurule and Brandon Hershey. Montoya -- Jose Domingo Montoya, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 6, 1999. Mr. Montoya was the beloved husband of 63 years to Mrs. Eugenia Montoya. He is also survived by four daughters, Prudy Holguin and husband, Zef, Eleanor Martinez and husband, Frank, Odilia Romero and Priscilla Darby and husband, Dave; two sons, Edward Montoya and Vidal Montoya and fiance, Chris Parra; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one nephews and two nieces. Mr. Montoya was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. A second night Rosary will be Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Springer, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. with Father John, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Springer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Romero, Francisco Montoya, Phillip Holguin, Franklin Martinez, Victor Montoya and Julian Montoya. Chavez -- Margaret Santana Chavez, 78, placed her life in God's hands and was called to His side on Friday, December 3, 1999. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Throughout her life, Margaret gave generously of her calming spirit, dynamic energy and joy for life to everyone she met. A devoted member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Margaret is survived by her husband, J. Edward Chavez with whom she shared 59 years of marriage, and their children, Lillian Abeyta, Laurie Lujan and her husband, Phillip Lujan, Bobbi Montoya of Easton, Pennsylvania, Carla Chavez, Margie Cordova and her husband Robert Cordova, and Dr. Jose Edward Chavez, of Big Spring, Texas. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard M. Chavez. Margaret has 19 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by her brothers, Adan Santana and his wife, Merlinda Santana of Nampa, Idaho, Rudolfo Santana Tovar and his wife, Sara Garcia de Santana of Mazatlan, Mexico, Camillo Ochoa and his wife, Sandra Ochoa, and by her sister, Dora Sandoval of Alamosa, Colorado, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends. We were all blessed with the time she shared with us and we will all miss her. A Rosary will be held on Monday, December 6, 1999 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Sisneros -- David V."Froggy" Sisneros, 61, passed away in Albuquerque on December 2, 1999. He was born in Los Angeles, CA, but had lived in Albuquerque most of his life. He was a veteran of the US Navy and had worked as an electrician and taught electrical classes for J.A.T.C. He was a member of the I.B.EW. for over 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sisneros; a son, Vincent Sisneros; a daughter, Monica Alderete and husband, Chris; and a sister, Della Howard and husband, Neal. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Nicole Alderete; a grandson, Vincent Sisneros Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Delicia Marie Salas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel of Sandia Funeral Care. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., Monday, December 6, 1999, at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont NE, with Rev. Ron Bruckner as Celebrant. Crespin -- Virginia M. Crespin, 63, beloved and devoted wife, mother, daughter and grandmother was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 25, 1999. Mrs. Crespin was a parishioner of San Ignacio Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Stella Gutierrez; and sister, Ruby Gutierrez. She is survived by her loving husband, Ernest Crespin of the family home; her loving children, Linda Aragon and husband, Antonio, Christina Dauber and husband, Rick, Franzella Sedillo and husband, Richard, Veronica McWhirter and husband, Thomas, and Ernest Crespin Jr. and wife, Susan; her father, Florival Gutierrez; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Also surviving are six brothers, Leonardo Gutierrez, Benjamin Gutierrez, Ray Gutierrez, Bonitacio Gutierrez, Ofiniano Gutierrez and Anthony Gutierrez; eight sisters, Florence O'Leary, Jessie Marrijo, Annie Sanchez, Christine Montoya, Lisa Romero, Gloria Otero, RoseAnn Evans, Rita Gutierrez; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at 10:00 a.m. at San Ignacio Catholic Church. Maestas -- Jacobo"Jake" Maestas, 72, passed away November 27, 1999. He was born and raised in Taos, NM, was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, retired from Duke City Lumber Company, and was a member of Alameda Bible Church. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nettie Maestas; four daughters, Pamala Montoya, Kathleen Dodd and husband, Ken, Linda Malone and husband, Don, and Valerie Sanchez and husband, Glenn; son, Cliff Maestas and wife, Nancy; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; brothers, Ben, Florimel, and Tom; sisters, Viola, Corina, and Emily; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved and will miss him.
