GRIEGO -- Bernadette Griego, 46, passed away peacefully January 13, 2009. Bernadette was a hardworking, loving mother, grandmother, partner, daughter, & sister. She is survived by her parents, mother Virginia Vigil and father Richard Lujan; partner of 17 years Jay Huff; six brothers, Jerome Lujan, Anthony Lujan, Roman Lujan, Clarence Lujan, & Stanley Vigil; two sisters Theresa Barfoot, & Patricia Rizvi; her four children Joseph Griego, Carlos Griego, Jasenta Griego, & Jacob Huff; three grandkids Meliano Griego, Little Luckie Griego, and soon to arrive Angelina Griego. TORRES -- Felipe Phil Torres, US Air Force retired, 37, a resident of Albuquerque went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday January 9, 2009. Felipe is survived by his parents, Felipe and Faaluaumete (Frieda) Torres, a brother Tony and wife, Priscilla and a sister, Tanya Romero and husband, Joseph. He is also survived by his girlfriend Rose Lente and her daughter, Andrea, his niece, Tiarre and nephew Santiago. Visitation will be Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 8:00 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:00 a.m., all at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW. GERBER -- Chantel Victoria Gerber, 22, a resident of Rio Rancho, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, January 6, 2009. Chantel was born May 15, 1986 the daughter of John David Gerber and Angela Priscilla Gonzales in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She had worked as a waitress before her death. Chantel was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jose Anastacio Gonzales; and uncle, Joey Gerber. She is survived by her son, Jason Anastacio McNicole of Rio Rancho; father, John Gerber; mother, Angela Gonzales and step-father Ron Lujan; grandfather, George Gerber; grandmothers, Sophie Gonzales and Carmen Gerber; sister, Desiree Gerber, step-sisters, Brenda Lujan, and Nicole Wilson all of Santa Fe; aunts, Isabel Leyba, Martha Gerber, and Tina Martinez, Juana, and Ester Martinez; uncles, Johnny Gonzales, Leo Leyba, George Gerber, Jr.,Garrett Gerber, and Manuel Duran and wife Karen; nephews Matthew Smith Jr., and Nicholas Lujan; many other friends and family. LUJAN -- Theodore Lujan, 73, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 3, 2009. Mr. Lujan is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mrs. Marie Yvonne Lujan; his children, Patrick Lujan, Jerald Lujan and wife, Sandy, and Charlotte Viola Lujan-Lovato and husband, Victor; his sisters, Rachel Silva, Erlinda Ortiz and husband, Tony, Elvira Dietz and husband, Art, and Theresa Lujan and husband, Tony; grandchildren, Amber, Jason, Joshua, Adelina, Francisco and Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Antonio, Santiago and MariaElena; and a large extended family of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Lujan was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Dolores Lujan; his brothers, Juan, Andres, Castulo, Tobias and Bonifacio. Mr. Lujan was a member of the Catholic Church; a member of the Knights of Columbus, third degree; Moose Lodge life member; and Fraternal Order of Police life member. GONZALES -- Cherylann Kathryn Gonzales, 31, a life-long resident of Albuquerque passed away in Houston, TX on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. She is survived by her parents, Floyd and Angela Gonzales; partner, O.J. Hinojos; step-children, Jeremy and Adriannna Hinojos; brother, Floyd "Guerro" Gonzales; niece, Lydia Gonzales; nephew, Brandyn Gonzales; grandmother, Merlinda Gonzales; and numerous other relatives and friends. Cherylann was preceded in death by her grandparents, Miguel and Casimera Sena; and grandfather, Leandro Gonzales. She was born on July 6, 1977 in Albuquerque, and graduated from El Dorado High School in 1995. Cherylann received her Associate's Degree in Psychology from Santa Rosa Jr. College in CA. Prior to pursuing her passion as a youth counselor for troubled teens, Cherylann worked at Southwest Childcare and AOL. Cherylann never met a stranger, being a friend to all. She was a loving partner, step-mother, daughter and sister and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. JARAMILLO -- Maria Crucita Jaramillo (Cruz), age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2009. Crucita was born in Villanueva, New Mexico to Julian Prada and Margarita Jacoby-Prada. She was a long-time resident of Belen, N.M. and most recently a resident of Albuquerque Rehabilitation Center. Crucita was raised at her family's farm in Villanueva, NM where she attended Catholic school and helped her family during the Great Depression. Crucita was proud of her involvement in the stair development of Carlsbad Caverns for the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1940s. She later served as a Harvey Girl at La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, NM. She married Miguel "Mike" Jaramillo on November 10, 1941. After living in Vaughn, NM, the Jaramillo family moved to Belen in 1962, where Crucita was employed by the Belen Consolidated School District as the head cook for the Belen Junior High School. Crucita retired in 1974. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting, and making ceramics. Crucita was a long-time member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her her husband of 56 years, Miguel "Mike" Jaramillo and daughter, Patsy Baca. Crucita is survived by a daughter, Ermelinda Baca (husband, Anthony); a son, Michael Jaramillo (wife, Kathy); grandchildren, Beverly Baca (Albuquerque), Jaqueline Moya (husband, Ray of Chilili), Lindsay Baca (Los Angeles, CA), Sidney Olivas (husband, Chris of Los Lunas), Elyssa Bland (husband, Jacob of Belen), Margaret Shawver (husband, Jeremy of Los Lunas), Cynthia Chavez (husband, Juan of Corvallis, OR); great-grand children, Matthew Baca (Albuquerque), Patricia Lujan (Albuquerque), Marcos, Lucas, and Amber Moya (Chilili, NM), Haleigh Little and Lucas Bland (Belen), Melina Olivas (Los Lunas), and Gracie and Jericho Shawver (Los Lunas). She is also survived by a great-great-grandchild, Vincent Sanchez (Albuquerque). A visitation will he held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited on at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery.
