LOVATO -- Jose Sisto Lovato, Jr., 54, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, died Saturday, December 27, 2008. He is survived by his Mom, Macedonia Lovato of Albuquerque, NM; his brothers, Lawrence Lovato and Michael Lovato, both of Roswell, NM and Anthony Lovato of Albuquerque; sister, Helen Madrid of Austin, TX; 17 nieces and nephews; uncles, Leandro, Guillermo and Cosme Lovato, all of Albuquerque; and aunts, Celina Otero of Albuquerque, and Rebecca Lovato of CA. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose S. Lovato Sr.; paternal and maternal grandparents; uncle, Vicente Lovato; and nephew, Steve. MARQUEZ -- Robert E. Marquez, also known as Railroad Bob, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2008 surrounded by his loved ones. He graduated from Albuquerque High School and went on to work for the Railroad for 25 years. He also served for a time in the US Marine Corps. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 13. Bob was loved by many and will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh and for his sarcastic sense of humor. Bob had a passion for cooking and spoiled his family with his meals. He loved watching sports and being with his friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Ernest Marquez. Bob is survived by his wife of 18 years, Teresa (Terri) Marquez; sons, Albert Marquez, Eugene Marquez, Steve Selgado and wife, Margarita, Peter Hinojos, and Kent Powell; daughters, Lorraine Selgado, Sharon Baca and husband, Lawrence, and Ruth Selgado; brothers, Manny Marquez and wife, Virginia, and Harry Marquez and wife, Theresa; sister, Ernestine Marquez; grandchildren, Gabriel, Desiree, Geno, AJ, Monica, Lori, Jessica, Isaiah, Zasha and Nicolas; four great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Lorie Selgado; brother-in-law, Rick Pacheco and wife, Joann; sisters-in-law, Mary Baumberger and husband, Paul, and Liz Mora; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by numerous dear friends. A Wake Service for Bob will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Legacy Church where the Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Frank Marquez, David Marquez, Rick Marquez, Peter Hinojos, Kent Powell, and Steve Selgado. MARTINEZ -- Ricky J. Martinez, 46, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 26, 2008 following a long illness. He is preceded in death by his mother, Flora Martinez; brother, Cecil Martinez; and sister-in-law, Shari Roestenberg, all of Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Claudia Gallegos Martinez; father, Cecilio Martinez; brothers, Joseph Martinez and Anthony Martinez and wife, Michelle, all of Albuquerque; nieces and nephews, Anthony, Ashley, Andrea, Matthew, Roberta, and Emiliano; a godson that he raised as a son, Joshua Kaufman; a special grand-nephew that brought joy to his life, Dominic; many aunts and uncles that loved him so; Sister Connie Martinez, FdCC, Carmel Martinez and wife, Gloria, Lorenzo Martinez and wife, Dorothy, Filomeno Martinez, Daniel Martinez, and wife, Yolanda, Lourdes Martinez, Rosalie Garcia, Leila Garcia, Sophia Baca, Eddy Baca and wife, Ramona, and Pete (Cuco) Baca; and other family and friends who loved him and will miss him. A very special thank you to Ismael (Petro) Baca, Steve Baca, Frank (Speedy) Candelaria, Daniel Martinez, and Paul Romero for all of your help and love. MYERS -- Elizabeth Josephine (Betty Jo), 87, of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Albuquerque, NM passed peacefully surrounded by her family on December 28, 2008. Betty Jo was born October 30, 1921 in America, IL. She will be remembered as a loving sister, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty Jo is survived by her son Don Myers of Scottsdale, AZ; and four daughters, Pam and Clark Hall of Tucson, AZ; Sandy and George Ruth of Las Cruces, NM, Jan and Larry D'Anza and Geri and Patrick Beel of Albuquerque, NM; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, three sisters, Barbara Hage, Charlotte Rigg and Harriett Treadwell; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Betty Jo's life will be held at Los Altos Christian Church, 11900 Haines NE, Albuquerque, NM at 3:00 p.m., on January 3, 2009. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma Society, Los Altos Christian Church, Hospice or a charity of your choice.

PADILLA -- Roland (Mando) Padilla, 56, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Emma Padilla and sister, Baby Theresa. He is survived by his sisters Theresa Medoro of Winchester, VA, Helen Padilla and partner Gary Hickman of Arlington, TX, Conchie Halas and husband Geno, Maxine Di Bernardo and husband Joe; brother Richard Padilla all of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosary will be recited Friday, January 2, 2009, 7:00 p.m., at French, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 3, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5301 Claremont N.E. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. WALLACE -- William Herbert, Jr. (Bill) passed away at Manzano Del Sol Health Care Center on December 29, 2008. Bill was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1918. He attended Michigan State University from 1937 to 1941. While in East Lansing he met fellow student Mary Ellen Bailey. They married in 1941. After graduating with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry, Bill began his 37-year career with the Upjohn Company in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In 1942, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as Captain, 288th Field Artillery, during World War II. Bill had four persistent passions in his life family, fine art photography, travel and public service. Bill and Mary Ellen started their family in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where they had three sons Bill (William C.), Craig and Ralph. His passion for his family is well documented in thousands of photos. His passion for fine art photography is well documented in his photos of the world's most dramatic landscapes; many of these photos are now placed in celebrated art centers. Bill's love of natural beauty knew no borders. His photographic-travel destinations included Tibet, China, Russia, Indonesia, and Iceland. Back home, he explored all 50 states, often with his sons. Not an idle admirer, Bill also had passion for the greater good and health of his community, serving ten years on the board of education in Comstock, Michigan; 20 years on the board of the Kalamazoo Intermediate School District; and on the Comstock (Michigan) Zoning Board of Appeals as well as the Comstock Library board. In the early 1990s, Bill was recognized by a joint resolution of the Michigan State Legislature, signed by the Governor. On September 11, 1989, Bill's wife and one true love, Mary Ellen, passed away. In 1993 he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to join his sons and their families. He is survived by William C. Wallace and Mary Conrad; their sons Ryan and Matthias and daughter Rebecca; Craig S. Wallace and Trudy Wallace; and Ralph B. Wallace and Brenda Wallace; all of Albuquerque, New Mexico. A Memorial Service and reception will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Manzano Del Sol Chapel, 5201 Roma Avenue NE. The family requests that instead of flowers, donations be made in the name of William H. Wallace to the Roadrunner Food Bank or Manzano Del Sol.

WILLIAMSON -- Theresa Elaine Durler Williamson, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008. With the love, care and support of her husband of 57 years she fought a long and valiant battle with cancer. Her strength and resiliency was an inspiration to her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Charles "Chuck" Williamson; children, John Walter Williamson and wife Susan, Rebecca Williamson/Monette and husband John, Charles Michael Williamson and wife Debra, Debora Lea Williamson/Griffin and husband Bill; grandchildren Christopher and Mikal Monette, Kevin and Caitlin Williamson, and Kayla and Kyle Williamson; sister Mary Ann Jacobson; niece Sharen Durler Pflughoeft; nephews Stanley, Steven and Michael Durler, Paul Jacobson and numerous other relatives and friends. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents John and Marguerite Durler; brother John Durler; and sister Peggy Higgins. She married Charles J. Williamson in 1951 and lived in Los Alamos, NM before moving to Albuquerque. She worked for Mountain Bell for 41 years until her retirement in 1993 as an assignment engineer. She was a member of the Pioneers retirement group. Her true love in life was her grandchildren. Theresa enjoyed following their athletic and academic achievements. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Prayer Service will be held at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel on Monday, January 5, 2009, 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. CESARZ -- Alexander Cesarz, 91, a resident of Albuquerque died Tuesday, December 30, 2008. He is survived by sons, Alexander Cesarz II and wife Kathleen of Albuquerque, Gary Cesarz and wife Kathleen of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Roger Cesarz and wife Felice of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He served with the US Army, 32nd Infantry Brigade, Red Arrow Division in WWII. Alexander lived in Japan and the Philippines for over 25 years and returned to Albuquerque in 1982. Rosary will be recited on Friday, January 2, 2009, 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday, January 3, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.
