Gallegos -- Dick A. Gallegos, 79, died Monday, July 23, 2001 at his home in Socorro, NM. He was born August 26, 1921 to Andres and Labradita (Gonzales) Gallegos in Tokay, NM. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Viola Gallegos; brothers, Santiago, Johnny, Tony and Andres Jr.; and sister, Pauline Garcia. Gutierrez -- Mr. Tony Gutierrez, 62, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on July 23, 2001. Mr. Gutierrez is survived by his loving daughter, Roberta Gutierrez and boyfriend, Marcos Ordonez; three sisters, Isabel Parra, Annie Garcia and husband, Raymond and Jean Benavidez and husband, Gilbert; five brothers, David Gutierrez, Eloy Gutierrez and wife, Aurelia, Rudy Gutierrez and wife, Mary, Joe K. Gutierrez and wife, Esther and Johnny Gutierrez and wife, Barbara; two grandchildren: Desiree and Antonio Gutierrez; many aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Gutierrez was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with final viewing at the church after 10:30 a.m. Father Daniel Balizan, Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Gutierrez, Joe Gutierrez, George Gutierrez, Larry Garcia, Antonio Parra and Ruben Benavidez. Honorary will be Antonio Gutierrez and Rudy Gutierrez. Sanchez -- Jose "Joe" M. Sanchez, 73, passed away July 23, 2001. A longtime resident of Albuquerque, he was born in Cubero, NM., and retired from the United States Air Force, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #99, the D.A.V., and Holy Spirit Church. Joe is survived by his wife, Corina Sanchez; children, Joe Sanchez Jr. and wife, Helen, Miles Sanchez, Fr. John Baca and wife, Romey, Debbie Giguere and husband George, and Yvonne Blumberg; sisters, Nora Arguyo and husband, Joe, Connie Fleming, Henrietta Biggs and husband, Richard, Florella Buck and husband, Roland; brother, Jimmy Sanchez; ten grandchildren; two great-grandsons; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Holy Spirit Canadian Catholic Church, with a service of celebration on Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2001. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30pm. Pallbearers will be Elfego Duran, Johnny Baca Jr., Robert Sanchez, Mike Duran, Dennis Gutierrez, and Juan Velasquez. Rodriguez -- Irene M. Rodriguez, 50, a lifetime resident of New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2001. Irene was born January 16, 1951 the daughter of Jose P. and Emilia Casaus Garcia in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico. She moved to Bernalillo, New Mexico in 1973. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Emilia Garcia and one brother, Jose Garcia. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Esteban Rodriguez of Bernalillo; three children, Stephanie Romero and husband, Pat of Santa Fe, Bernadette Garcia and husband, Jose of Rio Rancho, and David Rodriguez and fiancée, Erika of Rio Rancho; seven sisters, Angelina Cordova, Amelia Mojica and husband, Romaldo, Dolores Tafoya and husband, Pete, Patsy Garcia, Gloria Tenorio and husband, Charlie, Sandra Tapia and husband, Johnny, and Georgina Garcia; four grandchildren, Esteban, Sabrina, Jevon, and David Ray; brother-in-law, Alex Rodriguez and wife, Lorraine; sisters-in-law, Paulie Sylva and husband, Ernest, Linda Lucero and husband, Mike, and Hope Lopez and husband, Orlando; special nephew, Dominic Tafoya and special niece, Marie Barreras; also numerous uncles and aunts and other nieces and nephews. Irene was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. The Service will be on Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary followed by the interment at 1:00 p.m. in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Metzgar -- Mary Edith Metzgar, 66, went home to the Lord on July 14, 2001 in Albuquerque. Mary was born in Albuquerque on August 16, 1934 to the late David and Josefita Metzgar. She is survived by her children, Jo Ann Romero and husband, Dan, Rick Baca and wife Reina, and Edye Baca -Allen; grandchildren Richie Baca, Lindsey Romero, Jessica Baca, Leah Romero, and Erin Allen; great grand child Adryan Baca; brothers Tony Metzgar and wife Alisia, Johnny Martinez Metzgar and wife Viola, Joe Metzgar, and Bernard Metzgar and wife Mary; sisters Carmen Nordsiek and husband Eddie, and Lucy Bernstein and husband Ron. Mary will be deeply missed by her loving family. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Delta Hospice. Visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited following visitation at 7:00 p.m. in the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Gomez -- Rudolph B. Gomez, a resident of Indio, CA passed from this life on April 21, 2001. He will be laid to rest in the Gomez Family plot with his brother, Johnny E. Gomez who passed away on May 25, 2001, in Tracy, CA. Rudy is survived by his sisters, Ethel Martinez of Tucumcari, NM, and Virginia (Virgie) Gonzalez of Bluewater, NM, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on July 11, 2001.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Garcia and husband, Robert, Josie Chavez and husband, Anthony and Senaida Alderete and husband, Lawrence; sons, Dennis Trujillo and wife, Clara and Joseph Sanchez, all of Albuquerque; sisters, Elsie Trujillo and husband Tony, Julia Gonzalez and husband, Don, Dolores Holcomb and husband, Fred, Annie Torrez and husband, Johnny and Marilyn Baldonado and husband, Bobby; brothers, Max Dominguez and wife, Lala and Joe Dominguez and wife, Marietta; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; including her granddaughter who provided her with love and comfort over the last 8 years, Elizabeth Torres and husband, Ronald. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husbands, Adolph Trujillo and Jose Ernesto Sanchez; sons, Ronald G. Trujillo, Donald G. Trujillo and Paul R. Sanchez; and grandson, Dennis L. Trujillo, Jr. She was born in San Migiel, NM to Jose Dominguez and Senaida Lopez-Dominguez. Services will be held Friday, 9:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Lucille Richardson officiating. Interment will take place at 12:00 noon at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
