ORTIZ, CHARLOTTE SAIZ Age 90, resident of Santa Fe, passed away on January 6, 2014 due to a long battle with cancer. She was born on August 26, 1923 in Alameda, NM to Adelida and Emiliano Saiz. She was married for 65 years to Placido Ortiz. She was a homemaker and co-business owner of Chavez Place Apartments along with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband, Placido Ortiz, sisters: Piedad Sandoval (Joe), Margaret Baca (Amado), Louise Alvarado, Della Montoya, Vita Chavez (Presciliano), son, Andrew Ortiz, brother in law, Tom Baca. She is survived by her sons: Ralph Ortiz (Rosemarie Leigh) of Santa Fe, Michael Ortiz (Gloria) of Los Lunas; daughters: Charlene Ortiz, Angela Ortiz Flores (Glenn/Billy); grand children: Kenneth Segura (Kathleen), Chad (Kris), Desiree (Sean), Mario (Kristen), Anna (Charles), Nicolas, Matthew, Jordan, Jarrod, Alexandra, Juanita; great- grandchildren: Maya, Aaron, Marcus, Bisha, Teagan, Emily; brother, Emiliano Saiz Jr. (Theresa) of Corrales; sister, Edna Baca; brother-in-law, Johnny Alvarado, both of Albuquerque. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis de Assisi. A private burial will be held at a later date. GREEN, AMELIA ANN Precious seven month old daughter of Samantha Shirey and Cory Green, went to be with Jesus, Thursday, January 2, 2014. Amelia was a beautiful ray of sunshine who brought joy to everyone's life. She is survived by parents, Cory Green and Samantha Shirey; grandparents, Stephanie and Jeffrey Shirey, Tammy Green, Sean Green; great- grandparents Anne and Troy Gregory, Bill Behymer, Johnny Green; aunts and uncles, Chad Green, Jeffrey Shirey II, Daniella Shirey, Benjamin Shirey, Nicole Green, Siera Parker; cousins, KayleeMarie Shirey and Starr Green; numerous close family and friends. MCKINLEY, WILLIAM Age 56, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 in Quemado, NM. He was born in Belen, NM on June 27, 1957, to Ray and Margie (Magee) McKinley. William was a lifelong resident of Pie Town, NM and worked for the Catron County Road Dept. for 17 years. He enjoyed hunting and worked on several ranches in Catron Co. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Johnny McKinley and Tommy Lee McKinley; and his sisters, Deannie Johnson and Exlee Theiss. William is survived by brother, Bobby McKinley and wife, Coy; and Frankie McKinley and wife, Susie; sister, Lola McWhorter; his sister-in-law, Judy McKinley; and many nieces and nephews. MONDRAGON, ODOCIO "RAIDER JOE" Age 75, a resident of Albuquerque passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Joe was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Remigio and Toni Mondragon; siblings, Joe, Arthur, Johnny, Rose and Margaret. Joe is survived by his two sons, Jesse Mondragon and Joe Mondragon; six grandchildren, Danny, Cecily, Ariel, Jasmine, Vincent and Vanessa; two sisters, Stella and Cecelia and numerous nieces and nephews. ORTIZ, JOHNNY R. Johnny passed away Monday, December 23, 2013. He is survived by his sisters and brothers; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Liberato and Josie Ortiz; brother, Filomeno Ortiz; and sister, Irene LaGrange. Johnny served in the Army during the Vietnam War, where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. He graduated from Rio Grande High School and later attended TVI. His favorite past-time was drawing and being with his friends and family. Rosary will be recited Friday, December 27, 2013, 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH - University, with visitation one hour prior from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, December 28, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW. SANTILLANES, JOSEPHINE M. Our "Christmas Angel", 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in White Oaks, NM on January 11, 1930 to Gregorio and Sofia (Mes) Montoya. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Santiago; Melisandro; and Nazareno; her sister, Jane; and her friend and father of her children, Joe. Josie is survived by her only sister, "Dobbie" Thurman; her devoted children, Irene Schneider and husband, David; Mary Jo Santillanes; Sophie Chavez and husband Frank; Mona Torres and husband, Max; and Jay Santillanes and wife, Matejka. Josie will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Andre and wife, Stephanie; Johnny and wife, Trisha; Randy and wife, Patty; Frankie; Christie; Max III and wife, Lydia; Melynda and husband, Matthew; Kimberly and husband, John; and Joseph; and many great and great great grandchildren. The Rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 7:00 pm at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro. The Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 9:00 am also at San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as celebrant. PEREA, JOSE age 79, Also known as Deigo, a native of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 15, 2013. He is survived by his sons Charles and wife Cynthia, Chris and wife Sharon, Mark and wife Marlette, and Randy Perea. Grandchildren Lois, Luca, Charles Jr., Johnny Joe, Christoper, Angela, Matt, Alexandra, Amanda, Mark Jr., Ilyenna, Antonio, and Desiree. Great Grandchildren, Jacob, Kimberly, and Sierra. Brothers, Phil Perea, Jesse Cano, and sisters Tillie Montoya, Ramona Trujillo, Maryann Torres, Irene Perea, and Frances Hammerly. He was preceded in death by father and mother, Antonio and Catalina Perea; also by his wife Bobbie; brother Johnny Perea; sisters Isabel Perea, Mary Vallejos; son Johnny Joe Perea. He was truly the hardest working when it came to work, he worked as a mason for most of his life. He also served in the Army from 1957-1963. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 19th at 6:30 pm at Living Word, 2851 Arenal SW, followed by a reception.

PARHAM, MARY JO Mom, Three years has gone so quickly. Julie still struggles. Julie, Freddy, Ernie, Tomie and I went to Roswell finally and packed your things, it was so hard and frustrating. Julie cried when we finished. We knew your spirit was no longer there and you are at peace and rest. We all love and miss you so much!
