SIERRA -- TELESFORO JR. "PEPSI" Age 86, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Rosalie Sierra; daughters, Stephanie Blumberg and husband, James, Evangeline Sierra and partner, Barbara Grimes, Mary Campelman and husband, Ken, Cathy Sierra and partner, Karen Wilkirson, and Nita Falter and husband, Mark; fourteen grandchildren, Michael, Paul, Mark, David, John, Sierra, Peter, Charlynn, Gina, Lisa, Mimi, Mark, Jon, and Elizabeth; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Leo Sierra and wife, Mary Lou and Peter Sierra and wife, Kathy; and sister, Julia Campos and husband, Ruben; and a large, extended family. Pepsi attended Albuquerque High School and worked for Duran Pharmacy and San Antonio Pharmacy prior to serving in the US Navy during World War II. After the service, he worked for the US Postal Service for 34 years. After retiring from the post office, Pepsi drove a school bus in the early eighties. Mr. Sierra was a natural musician and could play anything by ear. He loved to walk wherever he went. Pepsi's family would like to thank all his guardian angels who watched over him during his walks and gave him rides, especially Cheryl Luchetti, Andy Torres, and Zurii Hall. A mass will be celebrated on Sunday, September 18, 2011, 3:00 p.m., at St. Mark's on the Mesa Church, 431 Richmond Place NE. Interment will take place Monday, September 19, 2011, 9:45 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. SUTTON -- SHELDON J. Age 88 of Albuquerque, NM passed on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. He was predeceased by his wife of 30 years, Martha Sutton of Albuquerque, NM. ARMIJO-LUJAN -- SHARON MAY Age 42, passed away on Monday September 12, 2011, in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Albino and Eriselda Varela; by paternal grandparents, Juan G. and Antonia Armijo; by her aunts, Lupita Da and Agnes Ortega. She was born on May 21, 1969, in Pecos, NM to Ralph and Balbie Armijo. She is survived by her husband, Michael and the loves of her life, son, Daniel and twin daughters, Sierra and Shelby. She will be deeply missed by her many cousins, friends and numerous aunts and uncles. Sharon was most proud of her children's accomplishments, she was always quick to praise Daniel for the outstanding job he is doing at UNM; Sierra for her passion on the guitar and Shelby, she would say "is an amazing artist". We will miss her gentle soul, her courage and generosity. Sharon, we let you go to a better place to be at peace and without pain. Until we meet again, you will be forever in our hearts. Services for Sharon will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Pecos, NM, with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Father Vincent, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011.

CHAVEZ -- LUCAS "LUD" Age 52, loving father, grandfather, brother and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, September 13, 2011. He was born on November 23, 1958 in Albuquerque, NM. He adored his family and loved spending time with them. Lucas dedicated over 28 years at GE. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting, skiing and camping. He was preceded in death by his father, Onecimo Chavez. Lucas is survived by his mother, Lucinda Chavez; son, Lucas Chavez; special friend, Olga Lopez; grandson, Jeremy Chavez; granddaughter, Alexis Mora; brothers, Joseph Chavez, Mark Chavez and partner Tonie; sisters, Cynthia Benavidez and husband Antone, Brenda Marquez and husband Joe, Angelina Chavez and partner Ralph; and numerous other family and friends. Lud will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. GREEN -- HERBERT Age 93, A long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Monday Sept. 13, 2011. He is survived by a daughter; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was a retired USAF Veteran of 30 years and a Conoco Phillips Serveyor of 20 years. HENDRICKS -- GWENDOLYN J. (Gwen) went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband Bill on August 25, 2011. She was an adoring wife, loving mother, caring grandmother, wonderful sister, and a friend to all. She was born in Perry, Michigan on September 27, 1926 to Roy and Ethel Wilkinson, and lived in Albuquerque from 1985 to 2010. She is survived by her children Joyce Lopes and husband Tom, Pam Young and husband Pat; sister Juanita Davis and husband Milton; grandchildren Ross, Warren, Alyssa, Austin, Leila, Aidan and Aeriyanna. She was cared for at Sunrise Assisted Living in Fair Oaks, California for the past nine months. Her friends at Sunrise will miss her. She was a member of Heights First Nazarene Church and will be missed by her many friends there. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate her life on September 18, 2011 at 6:00 pm at Heights First Nazarene Church. The Service is open to all her friends and family. She will be dearly missed.

JARAMILLO -- AMARANTE SR. Age 83, born in Cuba, New Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Amarante was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was a member of Our lady of Sorrows Church and Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Church. He was also a former Justice of the Peace. Amarante was preceded in death by his father, Patrocino Jaramillo; mother, Antonia Jaramillo; sister, Mary Maestas; brother, Eloy Jaramillo; and grandson, Jonathan Jaramillo. He is survived by his beloved wife, Flora Jaramillo; brother, Moises and wife Jenara Jaramillo; sister, Nora and husband Ben Madrid; daughters, Louella and husband Dan Kelly, Bernice Groves, Lorraine Baca, Lee Ann and husband Albert Lovato; sons, Amarante Jr. and wife Cristina Jaramillo, Richard and wife, Melissa Jaramillo, Raymond and wife Aurora Jaramillo; daughter, Dianne Jaramillo; son, Anthony Jaramillo; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends who love and will miss him. Services will be held at Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 4th Street, NE, Albuquerque. The viewing will begin at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 15, 2011. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. MAHONEY -- RICHARD J. (PAPA) Age 54, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, died of natural causes in his sleep on Sunday, September 11th, 2011. He was born on October 22nd, 1956, in Bryn Mawr, PA. Mr. Mahoney grew up in Pennsylvania and Richmond, VA. He has called Albuquerque home since 1982. Mr. Mahoney was preceded in death by his father, John R. Mahoney Sr, his mother Mary "Bubbie" Mahoney (nee Walsh), and his brother, John R. Mahoney Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine (married November, 1985); his daughter Isabel Mahoney; his sons Karl Buck, John Mahoney, and Billy Mahoney; his granddaughter Lily Buck; his brothers Dan (Debi) and Phil (Kelly) and his sister Mimi Mahoney-Crossland (Richard); his father-in-law C.M. "Moe" Coats, as well as many other family and friends. Mr. Mahoney was a valued employee of Cutter Aviation and a familiar face in the Old Town community. He was a man with a big heart and an unforgettable sense of humor. He leaves us with strength, courage, laughter, and countless happy memories. He will be deeply missed, but he will remain forever in our hearts. Services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 10:00am at Salazar and Sons Mortuary. MAINE -- REGINA MARIE Age 19, born in Albuquerque, NM on February 18, 1992, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011. Regina was preceded in death by her wonderful grandmother, Rosemary Martinez. She is survived by her mother and father, Thomas and Loretta Maine; brothers, Christopher and Devin Maine; twin sister, Mariah Maine; precious daughter, Scarlett Rose Maine; and many wonderful relatives; aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course Regina's many many exceptional friends who loved and will miss her. She was an avid animal lover, helping them whenever she could. She also loved skateboarding. Regina was a graduate of Rio Rancho High School (class of 2010), and was currently attending Central New Mexico Community College. She was also a member of her local church. Services will be held at Copper Pointe Church, 10500 Copper Ave NE, Albuquerque, (near I-40 and Eubank) on Friday, September 16, 2011.
