CUELLAR -- GEOFFREY P. Beloved son of Patrick Cuellar and Peggy Cave, died September 9, 2011 at his home in Albuquerque. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 22, 1964 and was a resident of Albuquerque since 2004. Geoffrey graduated from the University of Texas-Austin in 1987 and was the owner of Manzano Web Services, LLC. He was also a licensed Ham radio operator for many years and was proud of knowing Morse Code. Geoffrey was a member of the San Antonio Youth Symphony as a child and played several instruments. He loved music, his friends, his cat, his classic BMW, and being a Ham operator. He had Ham friends all over the world. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Peggy Cave and step-father, James Cave of Tijeras, NM; his brother Dr. J.P.Cuellar III and wife Wendy of Asheville, NC; his brother Tucker and wife Mary of New Braunfels, TX. A Memorial will be held for Geoffrey in Austin, TX on October 15, 2011. Time and location to be determined. FRESQUEZ -- NELSON passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nelson was a member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his son Stephen Fresquez and wife Marcie; daughter Veronica Byrd and husband Edwin Sanchez; sister Olivama Fresquez; grandchildren, Dominick Byrd, James Byrd, Jadyn Sanchez, Vincent Fresquez, Morgan Fresquez, Abel Fresquez. A public viewing will be held from 2:00-7:30 p.m. Sunday September 18, 2011, with Rosary to follow at Salazar and Sons Mortuary. Mass will be held at St. Edwins Catholic Church Monday September 19, 2011, 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Park. GREEN -- HERBERT Age 93, A long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Monday Sept. 13, 2011. He is survived by a daughter; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was a retired USAF Veteran of 30 years and a Conoco Phillips Serveyor of 20 years. Visitation will be Friday September 16, 11-11:30 am at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas NE. Interment will be Monday September 19, 1:30 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St.

GURULE -- VIOLA T. Age 86, a resident of Ojo Caliente passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011. Viola was born on February 7, 1925 to Juan and Isabelita Tafoya. She married Leo B. Gurule of La Ladera near Los Lunas, NM. They had a son Eloy and a daughter Noline who married Jerry Villareal of Alcalde. Viola worked at the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School for many years. She retired in 1987. Shortly after retirement Viola moved to Ojo Caliente to live with her daughter Noline and husband Jerry. Viola was a devoted Catholic who quickly made friends and was well liked in her adopted home. As a member of The Blessed Sacrament, The Sacred Heart Society of Ojo Caliente, Viola continued her devotion to God and her family. A kind and loving person, Viola loved her job, going to the movies and eating out after a day of shopping. Her cooking and excellent sewing projects along with her big and generous heart will be missed but, never forgotten. Viola was preceded in death by her sisters: Ruth Serrano, Mary Chavez, Francis Trujillo and Virginia Savedra; brothers: Alejandro, Joe, Willie, Diego and Raymond Tafoya. Viola is survived by her sister, Natalia Baca and husband Filomeno of Albuquerque, NM. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente. Her ashes will be buried at a later date at Adelino Cemetery in Tome, NM. HANSON -- DOROTHY Q. Age 76, passed away peacefully at home in Albuquerque, NM on September 5, 2011. She was born November 29, 1934 to Calvin and Mary (Telkamp) Quail, in Brookings, SD. She was raised in Brookings where she graduated from Brookings High School and South Dakota State University. Dorothy, a lifelong educator, began her teaching career in Mesa, AZ. During those years, she earned her Master of Education degree from Arizona State University. In 1963, Dorothy moved to Albuquerque, NM where she taught business and physical education in the Albuquerque Public School system until her retirement in 1993. She played bridge and participated in league bowling with her fellow teachers and was active in square dancing. She enjoyed spending time with her parents and family at their cabin in SD. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; niece, Mary Quail. She is survived by her daughter, Jane (David) Scott, of Spokane, WA; grandsons, Dan Scott and Kurtis Scott of Kennewick, WA; brothers, Duane (Harriet) Quail, Goodyear, AZ; Don (Janette) Quail, Sioux Falls, SD; sister, Janice (Alan) Peterson, San Jose, CA; and six nephews. LOPEZ -- EUMELIA Our beloved sister, mother and friend, was born June 29, 1926 in Escobosa, New Mexico to Beneranda Trujillo Lopez and Jose B. Lopez. She passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Albuquerque at the age of 85. Eumelia is survived by her nine children, Sophie Garcia, Mary Puentes and Joe, Phillip Garcia and Gloria, Sylvia Barbosa and Patty, Maria Jo Drury and Robert, Faye Anzures, Jeannette Sanchez, Bernie Abeyta, George Sandoval and Lynn; stepson, Freddy Lucero and Clara; brother-in-law, Solomon Romero; two brothers, Orlando and Julian Lopez; two sisters, Carmen Maria del Carmen Lopez Martin and Jolie Lopez; thirteen grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; as well as other family members and friends. Eumelia will be greatly missed by all who loved and cherished her. A Mass will be celebrated at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 5:00 pm. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 9:00 am. MORTON -- WILLIAM RANDALL COL. RET. Colonel United States Air Force Retired, age 95, died peacefully in his sleep at home of natural causes on September 13, 2011. Dad was a resident of Albuquerque for over 33 years. Born April 17, 1916 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Marcus Randall Morton and Aletha B. Hazelton, dad was raised in Spokane, Washington, where he graduated from Lewis & Clark High School. He attended the University of Idaho, where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Dad served in the United States Air Force for over 32 years, piloting B-17's in 18 combat Missions over Europe during World War II. Later in his career he was Commander of the Satellite Recovery Group, Hickam AFB, Hawaii; Deputy Center Commander at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque; and Base Commander of Patrick and Eglin Air Force Bases in Florida. Dad's numerous decorations include the Legion of Merit, Air Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Korean Service Medal. Dad came honestly by his military spirit through a long family tradition of military service, on his father's side, including four generations of soldiers dating to the American Revolution. His grandfather, Major Howard Morton, a decorated Civil War veteran with the 5th Pennsylvania Artillery, was the great grandson of George Morton, the financial agent of the Pilgrims in London, whose son, Nathanial, sailed to America in the "Ann" two years after the "Mayflower", and kept the records of the colony for over forty years. Dad was a dedicated patriot who loved his country and defended her honor for more than three decades. After retiring from the Air Force in 1974, he was active in Saint Chad's Episcopal Church, as well as Camp Stony and Habitat for Humanity. Dad enjoyed traveling the world, playing and watching golf, and spending time with family and friends. Dad was preceded in death by our mother, Dorothy K. Morton, and his grandchildren Michelle Yvonne Morton and Christopher Randall Morton. Dad is survived by his second wife of 11 years, Gloria Manson Morton, whose loving care and nurture were key to his long and happy life; his son William R. Morton II and wife, Nancy H. Morton; his son Robert M. Morton and wife, Yvonne C. Morton; his son John C. Morton and wife, Deborah V. Morton; his grandsons Geoffrey Robert Morton and William Caldwell Morton; his stepgranddaughters Michelle Barbera and Annie Barbera; and his stepchildren Judy Endsley, Jessica Whitfield, Peter Manson, Elizabeth Kestner, spouses and grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Dad's favorite saying was "I have a million memories and no regrets." He was blessed with a sound mind and shared his memories with his loved ones and friends to the day he died. A celebration of Dad's life will be held following funeral services at Saint Chad's Episcopal Church (7171 Tennyson Street NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122) Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 10:00-11:00a.m., with a remembrance gathering after the service, followed by burial with full military honors at 2:15p.m. at the United States National Cemetery, Santa Fe. The family thanks their many friends and relatives whose love and thoughtfulness will always be remembered and deeply appreciated. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the National Parkinson's Foundation.

A resident of Albuquerque since 1984 she is survived by her daughter Barbara W Thomas; her sons, Richard L Woods, Stephen J Woods, and William C Woods. A private cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held at a later date.
