DANIEL, BILLY B. Age 84, longtime resident of Albuquerque, died February 25, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara; children, Debra Billings and husband Walter, Steven Daniel and wife Kathy, Linda Calvin, and Larry Daniel and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Shari and Cynthia, Michael and Elizabeth, John Isaac and Angelina Rose; and six great-grandchildren. Bill served 22 years in the United States Air Force and several years as a manager at Plateau Supply. After retirement, he volunteered at Kirtland AFB pharmacy and enjoyed square dancing, bridge, traveling and camping with family and friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria Rd. NE, Albuquerque, 87112. A reception will be held immediately following the service. Interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Monday, March 9, 2015 honoring his military service. MITCHELL, LARRY JOSEPH 78, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at his home in Los Lunas, NM. He was born the youngest of five in Kilgore, Texas on November 11, 1936 to Jesse Coleman Mitchell and Chloe Etta (Patillo) Mitchell. Larry was a quiet man who was willing to help at any time. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and photography. Larry lived most of his life in New Mexico, where he worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 26 years. Prior to working at LANL, he worked for the Albuquerque Police Department and A.C.F. Industries in Albuquerque. After retiring Larry accomplished his goal of learning to fly and obtained his private pilot's license. He is survived by his son, John Mitchell, of Los Alamos, NM; his daughter, Debbie Mitchell, of Alice Springs, Australia; his grandson, Lincoln Via, of Alice Springs, Australia, and his granddaughter, Cheyenne Via, of Alice Springs, Australia. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Louise; his brothers, John W. (Wesley), Jesse W. (Woodrow), and his sisters, Francis (Charlene) and Luella L. (LaFerne). WHITMORE, ELMO JOHN Elmo John Whitmore III, 60, of Rio Rancho passed away Feb 13, 2015 after a short illness. Born Feb 1, 1955 he was the son of Elmo John Whitmore II and Stella Myrtis Huskkey Jones. He was predeceased by both his parents. He is survived by his second wife, Mary Whitmore, Rio Rancho, NM; son Jeremy Whitmore; and daughter Jennifer Savage, both from a previous marriage; a brother Tim Whitmore (Laura); and three sisters Bonnie Dixon (Larry), Denise Barrett (Tim), Colleen Duncan (Robert). John was a decorated veteran, having enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served for 20 years. John served during the Desert Storm campaign and was honorably discharged holding the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. Among his awards was the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Achievement Medal, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal. John was a long time member of the American Legion Post 118, Rio Rancho, and previously served as Commander. Funeral Services will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Thursday at 1:30pm followed by a memorial at 4:30pm the American legion Post 118, 1500 Barbara Lp, Rio Rancho.

HENRY, NADA C. "KAY" Age 87, a long-time resident of the Las Vegas, NM area, died Monday, February 16, 2015. She is survived by her children, Robert Henry, Jr. and wife, Lynette of Albuquerque, Philip Henry and wife, Mary of Denver, CO, and Carol Conkle and husband, Larry of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; brother, Joe Spivey and wife, Helen of Snyder, TX; sister-in-law, Dona Spivey of Seal Beach, CA; and numerous other relatives and friends. Kay was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Robert J. Henry, Sr. in 2007; two brothers; and two sisters. She was born in 1927 in Spur, TX and graduated from Maxwell High School in Maxwell, NM. Kay attended New Mexico Highlands University where she received her BA in Business Administration. She married Robert in 1947 and raised their family in Las Vegas, NM. Kay loved to play golf, bridge, piano, and was an avid reader. She belonged to several organizations and clubs in Las Vegas, NM including PEO - Chapter "H" and was a long-time member of 1st Presbyterian Church in Las Vegas. Kay was always happy and enjoyed being with family and friends. She was a kind and loving person and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas Chapel. ENRIGHT, LAURA LEE MARIE passed away peacefully at her parent's house on February 19, 2015. She is survived by parents, Joseph L. and Anna Marie Salazar from Albuquerque; two daughters, Karyssa Bobadilla and husband Vince, grandson Vicente; and Marina Enright from Peoria, Arizona. Other survivors include her ex-husband Daniel Enright Sr. and two sons, Daniel Enright Jr., granddaughter Hailey, and Dominick Enright from Rio Rancho; her sister Debra Ann Schrage and husband Tom from Aviston, Illinois; Kimberly Dee Pihlaja and husband Keith from Fairbanks, Alaska; and Larry Salazar from Rio Rancho. Also surviving are many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and her boyfriend, Francis Kelly. Laura was born to a military family on June 6, 1964, at Edwards Air Force Base, California. She traveled extensively with the family as her father's assignments led them to New Mexico, Illinois, Alaska, and Finally New Mexico again. She graduated from Eldorado High School in 1982 and shortly thereafter met her husband-to-be. After several years living in Albuquerque, her husband Danny began a new job in Phoenix, Arizona. After their separation, Laura moved back to Albuquerque to be closer to her family. She was a very cheerful, loving person who loved to sing and make everybody happy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she is now resting peacefully. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be buried in her mother's family plot at the Santo Nino de Atocha Chapel in La Manga, New Mexico at a later date. COOK, BILL D. Age 76, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015. He was born in Senica, MO on May 10, 1938, to Lester T. and Manervia M. (Wright) Cook. He attended Carthage High School and then graduated with an Associate's Degree from the University of Albuquerque. He served in the Army for 22 years, and retired as a Major. Bill received the Bronze Star Medal and the Air Medal for 2 tours of duty for serving in Vietnam. He married his bride of 52 years Carolyn Dick on January 10, 1963 in Carthage, MO. Bill worked in the U.S. Army Counterintelligence, Special Agent, Green Beret, Company Commander of the 5th Special Forces Group Gabriel Detachment. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and skiing, and he was a member of the New Mexico Patriot Guard Riders. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Charles Hartley. Bill is survived by wife, Carolyn N. Cook; son, Tyler D, Cook; daughter, Patricia Springborg and her husband Steve; brother, Clifford Cook and his wife Carol; nephews, David Cook, Mike Cook, Larry Cook; grandchildren, Ashley Bair, and Taylor Springborg; great grandchild, Ontario Bair. CARLTON, ROLEY D. Carlton, Roley D. "Buster" passed away February 9, 2015, at the age of 93. He was born in Bromide, OK, in 1921, he was a WWII Veteran and served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre. CARLTON, ROLEY D. Roley D. "Buster" Carlton passed away February 9, 2015, at the age of 93. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Lalo Armijo; and her son, Lalo Armijo Jr. Juanita was raised in Ponderosa, NM until the time of her marriage, moving to Albuquerque and was married to Lalo for sixty-eight years, he was the love of her life and her best friend. Juanita was the last of the Lopez siblings. Visitation will be Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 2150 Raymac SW with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday, February 16, 2015 from 9:30 a.m .until 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
