Berryman -- William "Bill" Berryman, age 79, died Wednesday, September 6, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Berryman of Mountainair; son, David G. Berryman and wife, Jennifer of Sandia Park; grandsons, Ryan Berryman and Dylan Berryman of Sandia Park; brothers, Charles Berryman and wife, Mina of Larned, KS, James Berryman of McCloud, CA, Clarence Berryman and wife, Doris of Bentonville, AR, and E.M. Berryman and wife, Susan of Clearwater, KS; sisters, Fern Baustian of Long Beach, CA and Margaret Hackey of Tower, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill retired from the State Highway Department in 1978. He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Mountainair. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Casa Esperanza, 1005 Yale Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87106. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Sunday, September 10, 2000, 3:00 p.m., at the Mountainair Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements by Aspen Funeral Alternatives, 1935 Juan Tabo NE, (323-9000).

Meneses -- Victoria L. Meneses, 25, a resident of Albuquerque for 15 years, died Wednesday, September 6, 2000. She is survived by her mother, Ramona Meneses of Albuquerque; father, Temo Meneses of California; brother, David Meneses and wife, Rosa; and sister, Angelica Meneses, all of Albuquerque. Victoria was a very hard worker and was a father and mother to her kids. She dreamed of someday being a police officer, and always thought of others before herself. Victoria was very loyal to her work as an associate at Wal-Mart and was very friendly and courteous. She will be missed by all especially her children, John and Arlene Herrmann. May you rest in peace my sweet daughter. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary-Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW, Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Walker -- Wilbur Walker, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 18 years, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2000. Wilbur was born on December 13, 1915, the son of Claude and Ida Shields Walker in Torrington, Wyoming. He had been a missionary, doing God's work for 46 years. Wilbur is survived by his wife of 46 years, Luggie Walker of Albuquerque; brother, Lynn Forest Walker of Larned, KS; sister, Georgia Aarestad of Monett, MO; also several nieces and nephews. The Visitaiton will be today, Friday, September 8, 2000, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the Parlor of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with the service on Saturday, September 9, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho. Officiating will be John Wegter and Jim Price. Emtombment will follow in the Floral Garden Mausoleum in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Chris Oliver, Pete Chavez, Paul Chavez, David Rice, Don Rowley, and Albert Lewis. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.

Benyak -- Maria Benyak, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, September 3, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Marie Benyak of Albuquerque; sons, Daniel Benyak and wife, Susan of Seattle, WA and David Benyak of Albuquerque; grandsons, Neal and Joseph Benyak, both of Seattle, WA; sisters, Anne Leighton of Hollywood, FL and Margaret Dresser of Miami, FL; brother, George Dankanich of Boynton Beach, FL; niece, Hope Blair and husband, David; and nephew, Gary Cooper and wife, Toshi. Mrs. Benyak was preceded in death by her husband, Michael"Ben" Benyak. Memorial mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl. NE, with Father Luis Jaramillo, Celebrant and Deacon Rue White assisting. Interment of cremains will take place at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.

Ladley -- Charles "Ed" Ladley, 72, a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, died Tuesday, September 5, 2000 in his beloved state of New Mexico. He is survived by sons, Mark Ladley and wife, Rebecca of Traverse City, MI, David Ladley and wife, Ellen of Park Ridge, IL, and John Ladley of Nepal; daughters, Gloria Ladley of Trenton, MI, and Susan Blake of Norfolk, VA; sister, Betty Ladley Finkbeiner and husband, Charles of Saline, MI; nine grandchildren to whom he displayed great devotion, and many loyal friends who shared in his laughter, jokes and work while providing loving care during his recent illness. Mr. Ladley was preceded in death by his mother, father; wife, Lila; and brothers, Robert and Carl. He was born in Mt. Sterling, OH, the son of Charles and Marie (Six) Ladley. Mr. Ladley graduated from London High School, London, OH in 1945 and attended Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. He was a member of the Kankakee, IL Jaycees, active in Westview Spurs in Kankakee and an ardent supporter of the Lobo Club of Albuquerque, while still remaining loyal to his Ohio State Buckeyes. Mr. Ladley was a US Navy veteran of WWII, stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base in Chicago, IL. After the service, he remained in Chicago, where he worked with International Harvester and later, Armour Pharmaceuticals. It was during this time he met and married Lila Vivian Webster. He moved to Kankakee, IL and started his own business, Ladley Lectric. He then went to work for Turner-Witt as a field Supervisor. After moving to Albuquerque in 1981, he worked for the University of New Mexico Architect office. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, September 8, 2000, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho facilitating. Interment of cremains will be held in Aroma Park, IL at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lobo Club, 1414 University Blvd., Albuquerque, NM 87131 or to the First United Methodist Church of London, 52 N. Main St., London, OH 43140. Threadgill -- Maryann A. Threadgill died peacefully at home on Monday afternoon, September 4, 2000. She is survived by her son, David T., his wife, Priscilla, and their children, Danielle and Joseph; her daughter, Anne E. Lindsay and husband, Robert C.; her sister, Sue; brother, Bob; many dear friends; and two dogs, two cats and a bird. She wanted to thank everyone for their friendship and wanted everyone to be happy for her. A Rosary/Wake will be held for her on Thursday, September 7, 7:00 p.m., at the Old Convent in Bernalillo, NM.

Giesler -- John David Giesler, Colonel US Army Reserve (Retired), 64, a resident of Riverton, Wyoming for the past 12 years, died Saturday, September 2 2000. John was born May 20, 1936 in Laramie, Wyoming to Roland and Lula Giesler. He grew up in Laramie and graduated from Laramie High School in 1954. He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 and then attended the University of Wyoming. He graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering in 1960. He was recalled to military duty in the Korean War in 1961. In 1962, he moved to Albuquerque to continue study at the University of New Mexico. While in Albuquerque he worked for UNM, BDM, and Holmes and Narver. As a reserve officer for 35 years he was at various times in command of all New Mexico units and some in Texas. He worked for a private contractor in Saudi Arabia just after the Gulf War as the head of the Chemical Sub-Section for the Safety Department of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces. He was a parachute instructor and a member of the Special Forces (Green Beret). In recent years he had developed a love of genealogy and had done extensive research into his family history. Mr. Giesler is survived by his two sons and their wives, David and Lynette Giesler and Alan and Janell Giesler, all of Albuquerque; and one daughter and her husband, Anne and Arron Menefee of Los Alamos. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Alex and Andrew Giesler, Melissa Martin and Kaitlin Giesler of Albuquerque and Maia and Samuel Menefee of Los Alamos; and two sisters, Rosalie Flanagan of Riverton, WY; and his twin sister, Joan Marusich of Laramie, WY. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, James. Services will be held Wednesday, September 6, in Laramie, WY at the Montgomery Stryker Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the family plot in the Green Hill Cemetery.

Giron -- Felipe Antonio Giron Jr., 19, born into this world on August 31, 1981, and left for his final home on September 3, 2000. He was preceded in death by his father, Felipe Sr. on April 6, 1993. Felipe is survived by his loving girlfriend, Carey Romero; mother, Belinda Giron of Belen; five brothers, Geronimo and his fiancee, Veronica Torres, David and his fiancee, Victoria Jaramillo, Andres, Patrick and Bryan; and many other brothers and sisters; and one very special niece, Aliyah M. Giron. He is also survived by his many loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his three brothers, Geronimo, David, and Andres Giron, Jonas Jaramillo, Everett Sanchez, Josh Padilla, Luciano Baca and Armando Barela Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Felipe's brothers, Patrick and Bryan Giron.
