Frazee -- Lena M. Frazee, age 76 and a life long resident of Belen, died on Saturday, September 9, 2000 following an illness. Mrs. Frazee is survived by two sisters, Barbara Ortiz of Belen, Rose Aragon and her husband, John, also of Belen; four brothers, Henry Jaramillo Jr. and his wife, Elsie of Belen, Gillie Jaramillo and his wife, Maryann of Los Lunas, Alfonso Jaramillo and his wife, Theresa of Belen, and Jerry Jaramillo and his wife, Nury of Los Lunas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Mrs. Frazee was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Belen where she was very very active. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church. The family has requested that memorials be made to the First Assembly of God Church, P.O. Box 108, Belen, NM 87002. Strong-Thorne Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Gabaldon -- Vicente Santana Gabaldon infant son of Katie Gabaldon and Joseph Lopez born August 26, 2000 passed away September 8, 2000. Also survived by his sister, Alisa Perea; grandparents, Charles and Marie Josea, Priscilla Blackhawk and Robert Garcia; great-grandparents, Angie Gabaldon, Sarah Hatch and Domingo Gabaldon, Arthur Leng; uncles, Carlos, Michael, Eddie, Stewart; aunt, Eliza; great-aunts, uncles and cousins; Megan Wenzie and Marcelino Saavedra, special friends of the family and many loving family members. Isberg -- Brooke Isberg, 50 years old, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, formerly of Birmingham, MI, died September 9, 2000. Beloved sister of Ralph (Carol-Kumamoto) Isberg. Loving aunt of Max and Robyn Isberg. Devoted daughter of the late Max Isberg and the late Elaine Isberg Howard. Niece of David Weisman and Bess Zechman. Also survived by Neil Zechman. Leatherman -- Arnol Eugene (Gene) Leatherman died September 7, 2000 after a short illness. He was 84. Gene was born in Fargo, Oklahoma, November 18, 1915. He moved to New Mexico when he was 10 years old. He graduated from Kiowa school, where he was active in track and a basketball star. He married Wilda Bacon in 1938. They shared and enjoyed more than 62 wonderful years together. He worked at Sunshine Dairy for some years, then began working for ATSF Railroad in 1942. In his years with the railroad, he moved his family to Las Vegas, New Mexico and Albuquerque. He retired from the railroad after 36 years of service in 1977. Upon retirement he and his wife moved to Raton. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He is survived by his wife, Wilda Bacon Leatherman of the home; two children, Dale Leatherman and wife, Mary of Silver City, NM, and Anna Trantham and husband, Bill of Raton; one sister, Neva Bacon and brother-in-law, William (Bill) Bacon of Raton; nine loving grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by one son, Harvey Leatherman, in 1998. He was a a very loving, caring, giving man. A beloved husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. He was a member of UT Union for 69 years, and a member of Retired Rails. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Raton, where he was deacon and Chairman of Trustees for several years. He was Deacon Ametrius at his passing. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at First Christian Church (330 N 3rd Street), Saturday, September 16, 2000 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Cleve Bishop and Clyde Barnes officiating. Anyone who would like to share favorite memories of Gene is invited to do so at that time. Gene loved flowers, especially carnations and roses. Lory -- Minerva "Mickey" E. Lory, age 77, passed away Saturday morning, September 9, 2000 at her home. She was born August 20, 1923 in Elmhurst, Illinois and had been an area resident the past seven years."Mickey" as she was fondly known to her family and friends enjoyed making and selling crafts at the Downtown Mall for over five years. Mickey was the loving wife of Robert C. Lory of the family home; beloved mother of Judy McGraw of Denison, Texas, Jim Lory of Spring, Texas, John Lory of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jeff Lory of Las Cruces and Jay Lory of Chandler, Arizona; dear sister of Wally Pasco of Plainfield, Illinois, Enid Short of Albuquerque; Audrey Davis of Naples, Florida; cherished grandmother of Dustie Ann Zabic, Kenneth Eugen McGraw, Shannon Marie Deitz, Michelle Elizabeth Dennis, Jennifer Dawn Hernandez, Christopher Michael, Jeremy Alan, Maria Francis and Richard Lory, Adam and Karlie West; adored great-grandmother of Brittany Ann and Amanda Zabic, Sarah McGraw and Ryan Deitz. At Mrs. Lory's request cremation will take place and a service in her remembrance will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. in the West Chapel of Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 E. Lucero -- Luciana M. (Lucy) Lucero, 84, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2000. She was the wife of the late Desiderio Lucero. She is survived by her son, Joe F. Lucero; granddaughter, Debbie Otero; great-grandchildren, Alexandra Luciana Otero, Selena Euselia Otero, and Newton L. Henley III; her caregiver, niece and godchild, Fidela Garcia Trejuque and husband, Joseph; her sisters, Fabiola Ortega; Leonela Perea; Mr. and Mrs. Porfilo Garcia; all her godchildren, extended family and long-life friends. Pallbearers will be Nestor Muniz, Robert Ortiz, Martin Muniz, Martin Benevidez, Victor Sedillo and Andres Garcia. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, at San Jose De Duranes Church, 2110 Los Luceros NW. Monsignor Leo Lucero will officiate Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m on Wednesday, September 13, also at San Jose de Duranes, with burial in Santa Fe National Cemetery to follow at 12:30 p.m. Strong-Thorne Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Maestaz -- Syria Montoya Maestaz passed away September 10, 2000. She loved the Lord. Syria was preceded in death by her husband, Alvaro, parents, two sisters, and a close niece. She is survived by her three nieces, Brandi Montoya, Esther Mondragon, and Daphne Montoya; sons, Eloy Maestaz and wife, Margie, and Benjamin Maestaz; two brothers, Gabriel Montoya and wife, Eva, Eli Montoya and wife, Susie; sister, Lucille Cardenas and husband, Joe; and numerous other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and nephews, family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Cuba, NM with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 and burial service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2000. Potvin -- Margaret Catherine Potvin, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, died Sunday, September 10, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Mary E. Muller and husband, Pete of Walnut Creek, CA, Martha A. Reich and husband, William of Red Oak, TX, and Michelle C. Weddell and husband, Peter of San Jacinto, CA; sons, Louis J. Pitvin and wife, Jennifer of Galloway, OH, Laurence J. Potvin and wife, Barbara of Payson, AZ, and Gary M. Potvin of Albuquerque; sisters, Winnie Anderson and Mildred Jaster, both of Ohio; 16 grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death in 1980, by her husband of 37 years, Louis R. Potvin. Ms. Potvin was a long time member of St. John's United Methodist Church and was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. Services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Rev. Charlie Price officiating. Quintana -- Sarah Quintana, 67, passed away September 10, 20000. A Native New Mexican, she was a founding member of San Martin Catholic Church. She is survived by son, Manuel Quintana; daughters, Mary Ellen Quintana, Marie Rodriguez, Angela Rodriguez, Donna Quentin, Darlene Quintana, Renee Nieto, Juanita Quintana, Gregorita Quintana; 48 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; mother, Gregorita Lopez; five brothers, Filemon Lopez, Frank Lopez, Benito Vigil, Nelson Vigil, Pete Vigil; three sisters, Irma Archuleta, Alice Gallegos, Cleotilde; numerous other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at San Martin Catholic Church, with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2000. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday with burial following at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
