Meyer -- Barbara A. Meyer, 68, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 5, 2001. She was born to Bert and Dorthy Yoss on June 5, 1932, in Casper, Wyoming. As a child she had traveled all over the country with her parents. Barbara settled in Albuquerque in 1955, with her husband, James E. Meyer, where they raised their seven children. Barbara was a volunteer for many years with the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary. She was named New Mexico's Outstanding Volunteer of the year in 1981, and St. Joseph's Volunteer Auxiliary of the Year in 1982. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two children, Renee M. Dunlap and John C. Meyer. She is survived by five of her children, Richard D. Meyer, Michele M. Worm, Robert J. Meyer, James P. Meyer Jr., and Nicole A. Meyer, her two brothers, Robert Byram and Charles Yoss; her sister, Charlene Meyer; nine grandchildren; and her friend and companion of five years, Jose M. Rael. There will be a Rosary Service at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at San Ysidro Catholic Church, 5015 Corrales Rd., Corrales, NM. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Barbara's name to either the Heart Hospital of New Mexico, 504 Elm NE, 87102, or to the New Mexico Aids Services Inc., 625 Truman St., 87110. Shoats -- William James Shoats, age 37, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2001 at his home in Tijeras. He was born March 20, 1964 in Los Angeles, California. He is survived by one daughter, Christina Chavez of Albuquerque; his parents, William and Libby Shoats, Tijeras; grandparents, William H. and Opal E. Shoats of Albuquerque; two sisters, Eve Shoats, San Pedro, CA, Cindy Delgado, Torrance, CA; two brothers, Anthony Shoats, San Pedro, CA, Ray Shoats, San Pedro, CA; ten nieces, Angel Arvizu, April Patel, Anisa Delgado, Savannah Rushing, Katrina Shoats, Erica Shoats, Carrie Shoats, Monica Martinez, Andreya Anaya, and Julie Shoats; ten nephews, Jeremy L. James -- Vita James, 91, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2001. She is survived by her son, Pete James and wife, Donna of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Denise James, Julie Griego and husband, Gilbert, Anthony James, Michael James, and Sandra Kehoe and husband, Patrick, all of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren Jordan Schurter, Jessica Griego, Joseph Griego and Charlotte Kehoe. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2001, in the Chapel at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave, with Chaplin Wells officiating. Interment will take place at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to All Faiths Children's Fund, 1709 Moon St. NE, 87112.

Enriquez -- On May 2nd 2001 Mrs. Pauline Enriquez passed away leaving her daughter Cecilia Hinojos; sons Jose, Juan and Fernando Enriquez; her brother Guadalupe Hinojos; Her sisters Asusena Pena, Corrina Diaz and Efran Granillo; and her partner Flavio Urias. The Rosary will be at St. Edwin Church 2105 Barcelona Rd. SW at 7:00 PM Sunday evening. The funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at the church. Gonzales -- The family of Joe M. Gonzales thanks their many friends and relatives whose sympathy and thoughtfulness will always be greatly remembered and deeply appreciated. james -- Marlin Charles James, 66, a resident of Albuquerque since 1975, died on Wednesday, May 2, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marsha Y. James; daughters, Melissa A. Briggs and husband, Michael of Albuquerque and Marty Hill and husband, Gayle of Farmington, NM; grandchildren, Shelby K. Briggs, Hayley E. Briggs and Collin T. Hill; brothers, Alfred Douglas James and wife, Nancy of Amarillo, TX and Robert Norman James and wife, Linda of China Spring, TX. Marlin was a life long member of the Church of Christ and a member of Montgomery Blvd Church of Christ since 1975, where he had served as a Deacon and an Elder. He was also a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters since 1952 and was employed by the New Mexico District Council of Carpenters from 1968 until retirement in 1993. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2001, 10:00a.m. at Montgomery Blvd. Church of Christ, 7201 Montgomery Blvd N.E, with Kevin Owen, officiating. Interment of cremains to be held at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park. Jaramillo -- Mrs. Sofia Jaramillo, 87, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 4, 2001 at home with her loved ones at her side. Mrs. Jaramillo is survived by two daughters, Marcella Orona and Stella Garza; seven sons, Mel Jaramillo and wife Lala, Pete Jaramillo, Henry Jaramillo and wife Nena, Edward Jaramillo and wife Patsy, Manuel Jaramillo and fiancee, AnnaBelle; Jerry Jaramillo and Louie Jaramillo; 47 grandchildren; sixty-two (plus) great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Jaramillo was preceded in death by her husband, Natividad Jaramillo, her brother, Raymond Lucero, her daughter, Mary Ann Rambes and son in law Larry, her sons, Johnny and Orlando Jaramillo and great granddaughter, Tracy Orona and two great grandsons, Bobby J. and Michael James Orona. Mrs. Jaramillo was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:30 until 7:00 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 until 10:00 in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 by Father Manuel Viera. Interment will follow in the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louie Jaramillo, Jerry Jaramillo, Michael Jaramillo, Julian Jaramillo, Christopher Lopez and Orlando Rambes. Lee -- Bobby Joe Lee, 67, a 25 year resident of Tijeras, NM formally of Los Lunas, NM passed away Friday, May 4, 2001 in Tijeras, NM. Bobby was born August 12, 1933 in Melrose, NM to Jesse Alexander and Frances Jane (Stone) Lee. He married Sandra K. Walton, May 15, 1980 in Moriarty, NM. Bobby served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Melrose Baptist Church in Melrose, NM, and a very active member of the"Coffee Club." Bobby will be remembered for his great sense of humor, and his love for his wife, family, especially his grandchildren, and all of his friends. Bobby is survived by his wife of 21 years Sandra K. Lee, of Tijeras, NM; four sons Roger D. Lee, Bert A. Lee, and wife Ronda, Steven R. Lee, Burt Shilling and Suzi Bowles, and Ernie Antonio and wife Cheryl; two daughters Pamela L. Armstrong and husband Richard, and Vanessa K. Pacheco and husband Joe; one brother Gerald W. Lee and wife Lynn C.; three sisters Rita J. Russell and husband Phillip L., Ruby F. Killion and husband Lloyd, and Bertha F. Patterson; his mother-in-law Eda M. Davis; seven grandchildren, Jerame Ruland, Jennifer Lee, Sean Chandanais, Tavanna Christy, Richard Pacheco, David Pacheco, and James Pacheco. A Memorial service will be held Friday May 11, 2001-2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Tijeras with Pastor Mark Waite officiating. The burial will be Monday May 14, 2001- 10:00AM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.

Millwee -- Norma Fern Willard Millwee, 73, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, left this earth to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 3, 2001. She passed away quietly at home after many years of illness. She was born in Cromwell, OK on September 3, 1927 and spent most of her youth in OK. She moved to Phoenix, AZ at the age of 18 with her parents, where she later married and had her children. She moved with her family in 1968 to Flagstaff, AZ. and in 1972 moved to Los Lunas, NM until the time of her death. Norma spent many years researching the genealogy of her family, enjoying crochet and crafts of all kinds, traveling by RV with her husband, and in the pursuit of the color purple. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles L. and Velma O. Willard and her granddaughter, Denise L. Amuso. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clyde Z. Millwee of Los Lunas, NM; two daughters, Leanne Grueschow and her husband, Charles of North Fond De Lac, WI, Cheryl Tandysh and her husband, Mike of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren, Jason and Eryke Mudd of Phoenix, AZ; Tiffany and Mathew Tandysh of Albuquerque, NM; and seven great-grandchildren. Norma is also survived by her brother, James O. Willard and his wife, Janice and family of Phoenix, AZ. All Memorial Services will take place at East Resthaven Mortuary and Cemetery at 4310 E. Southern Ave., in Phoenix, AZ. A private family viewing will take place on Friday, May 11, 2001 in the mortuary chapel from 5:00pm until 6:00pm followed by a general viewing from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Graveside Memorial Services will be held on the cemetery grounds on Saturday, May 12, 2001 at 11:00am followed by her interment. Romero Funeral Home, Belen, NM in charge of arrangements.

Poukey -- Dr. James Wesslen Poukey died suddenly on May 1, 2001. He was 61 years old. James was an outstanding theoretical plasma physicist who worked at Sandia National Laboratories for 30 years. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1940, and moved to Cumberland, Wisconsin in the early 1950's, where he graduated from Cumberland High School in 1957. James went to the University of Wisconsin and received a BS in Mathematics in 1961, an MS in Plasma Physics in 1963, and a PhD in Plasma Physics in 1966. James joined Sandia National Laboratories in 1967. As a member of the Technical Staff in the Plasma Theory Division, James was one of the originators of the Pulsed Power research area. He was instrumental in developing and using the first computer codes in this area to perform numerical simulations of complex physics phenomena associated with the generation, transport, and application of intense relativistic electron beams and intense light ion beams. Throughout his career, he worked with many colleagues on a variety of projects including electron beam diodes, bremsstrahlung radiation sources, collective ion fusion, and advanced hydrodynamic radiography. He was among the first to be designated as a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff (DMTS) in 1983. Throughout his career, he remained in the Plasma Theory Division, which became the Beam, Plasma, and Electromagnetic Theory Department in 1995. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1997. He was always admired and will be long remembered for the impeccable quality of his work, his outstanding productivity, and his unforgettable dry wit. James was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi, and a Fellow of the American Physical Society. He was active in NM Mensa. Other interests/studies were real and artificial intelligence, history, pool, gold, piano, classical music, and puzzles. James is survived by his devoted wife, Cathryn, and little black dog, Fido; sister Mary Hauser and husband Robert of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; sister Martha Baireuther of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; nephew Michael Baireuther and wife Monica of Phoenix, Arizona; niece Kari Rude and husband Jon of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; stepdaughter Frances Elder of San Diego, California; and stepson Paul Reed and wife Laura of Tucson, Arizona. A Memorial Celebration and Reception celebrating the life of James W. Poukey will be held at Sandia National Laboratories on Monday, May 14, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. in Area IV, Building 960, Room 113 (Call 845-7303 for information.) Reception will follow at the home of Rab Freeman and Bill Howden (Call 232-7518 for information; directions to the Reception will be provided at the Memorial Celebration.)
