MUSCARELLA -- Dr. Gandolph Muscarella, 91, a resident of Albuquerque died on Wednesday, June 2, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Rose; son, Vincent A. Muscarella, MD, his children Vincent, Gregory and wife Kendra; Damian C. Muscarella and wife Anita, their children Jeffrey and Robert; and Gary C. Muscarella D.D.S. and wife Debra, their children Christina and husband Christopher, and David. He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Connie Muscarella, brother Phillip, and sisters Laura and Connie. Gandolph and the former Rose Jelso were married on August 8, 1934 in Rochester, NY. The first years of their marriage were spent in Buffalo, NY where Gandolph worked for the U.S. Postal Service before graduating from the University of Buffalo School of Dentistry. He started his dental practice in Buffalo in 1948. In 1959 he and Rose moved to Albuquerque where he practiced dentistry until his retirement in 1971. Dr. Muscarella's memberships include Knights of Columbus 4th degree, the Elks Club, the New Mexico and American Dental Associations, Capt. USAF during the Korean War, Canisius College Sculling Team, and Risen Savior Catholic Community. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, June 6, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 7, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel with Father Dino Candelaria celebrant. BABB -- Nancy Johnson Babb, Albuquerque resident since 1987, died Monday, May 31, 2004. Born December 6, 1927, Mrs. Babb had survived two husbands, Carl F. Johnson and Maynard A. Babb; and one son, Tracy G. Johnson. Mrs. Babb is survived by a sister, Mary Dian Molton and husband, Warren Molton of Kansas City; by a daughter, Robin Johnson and husband, David Wilson of Albuquerque; by a son, Nicholas Johnson and wife, Brandy Johnson of Yacolt, Washington; by four grandchildren; many nephews and nieces; and by dearest friends, David and Sara Babb of Albuquerque. Cremation has occurred, handled by the Sunrise Society. Services will be held privately at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to the Albuquerque Friends of the Library, or to any good cause of choice. The family is deeply grateful to the Wellness and Health Care staffs at La Vida Llena, and to the Hospice services of Presbyterian Home Health, for their support and care.

CARRILLO -- Milton Carrillo, age 46, beloved son and brother was welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father, Monday, May 31, 2004. Milton was a life time resident of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his father, Meliton Carrillo; brothers and sisters, Dennis, Marie, Lora, Ronnie, Nelson, and Nelda Carrillo. Milton is survived by his loving mother, Adelaida Carrillo; two brothers, Filo Carrillo, Paul Carrillo and his wife Theresa; six sisters, Evelyn Montano and husband Isidro, Alice Corley and husband Eddie, Sandra Madrid and husband Lucio, Minerva Morgan and husband James, Terry Narvaiz and husband Jose, and Jackie Molinar; numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Milton will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, where a rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. and the Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Orlando Carrillo, David Montano, Dominic Carrillo, Nathan Corley, Daniel Carrillo, and Adam Morgan. TRUJILLO -- Antonio S. Trujillo, Born June 13, 1908 Died May 25, 2004. Tony was born in Watrous, and worked as a Coal Miner in Dawson, New Mexico until moving to Santa Fe in 1939. Served as a Probate Judge in Colfax County from 1936 to 1939. He spent over 40 years in Government Service including 25 years with the Motor Vehicle Department and 15 years with the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office and service as Colfax County Treasurer in Raton, NM from 1948-1950. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1943 but was discharged after a short period due to health problems. Retired from Government Service in 1976 . Preceded in death by Lydia Avila Trujillo, his first wife of 58 years, by his second wife of 14 years, Eliza Anaya Trujillo and by an adopted Son, David Baca Trujillo. Tony is survived by sisters, Ignacita Casias of Albuquerque and Elvira Cordova of Albuquerque; daughters, Zelma Trujillo Kolch of Denver, Colorado and Gloria Trujillo Black (husband, Clarence Black) of Peoria Arizona; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great- great- grandchildren. He was a resident of Albuquerque, NM from 1960 until 2003, and moved to Peoria, AZ in 2003. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Albuquerque on Monday, 7 June at 9:00 a.m. Interment services will be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Tuesday, 8 June at 10:00 a.m.

GARCIA -- Leonor G. Garcia, 87, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2004. She was born on December 25, 1916. Mom was born in Canyon Largo, and then she moved to Juan Tomas. When she was growing up she loved to sing, she would go to her padrino who taught her to sing alavados. She married our dad (Santiago Garcia) in 1933 in the church of San Felipe de Neri of historic old town. She was Devota Del Bless Sacraments Society. We loved spending time with our mom sewing, crocheting, quilting, embroidering and also playing bingo. She also attended San Jose Church for many years. She is preceded in death by her two sons Isidro and Don Garcia. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her children, Velma Garcia and Isidro, Rosalie Alderete and Ernest, Raymond Garcia and Stella and Carmen Garcia and Irene; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The family of Leonor G. Garcia wishes to thank all for being with us in this need of prayer. We wish to thank our beautiful tias, Cecilia, Benny, Teresita and Irene for being with us. We wish to thank Linda Sanchez who was our leader in prayer for many years. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. and at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Edgewood, NM. MUNIZ-DEL NAVARRO -- Ascencion "Sonny" Muniz-Del Navarro, Sonny passed away peaceful on Monday, May 31, 2004 at his home. He joins his beloved parents, Merenciana and Eduardo Muniz and Sister Dolores Gonzales. Sonny's joy of life and generous spirit touched many family members and friends alike. He is survived by sister Helen Barela, Sister Mary Vigil and husband Jose, Sister Pauline Congleton and husband Marvin. Brothers; Joe Muniz and wife Elsie, Eduardo Muniz and long time friend David Sanchez. Uncle Sonny is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. "Sing for Joy to the Lord…praise him with shouts of Joy" That was Uncle Sonny: He gave a joyous shout while he lived: A Joyous shout to the Lord, A Joyous shout to all of us.
