SALAS, DOLORES Loving, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the age of 54. She was born in Bernalillo, NM on February 13, 1958. Dolores was preceded in death by her father, Eustaquio Salas; grandparents, Gregorio and Bernadita Salas, Abel and Abranita Dominguez. She is survived by mother, Cirilia Salas; sister, Edwina Montoya and husband Ray; brother, Lawrence Salas and wife Barbara, Clara Salas, Alex Salas; sister, Margaret Garcia and husband John; sister Frances Taylor and husband Vince; brother Martin Salas and wife Jeannette; six nephews; eight nieces; 11 great nieces; four great nephews. Dolores is survived by a wonderful, beautiful extended family of Salas Care - Direct Care Staff. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 8:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church 301 Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Cemetery. DAY, JENNIE BARBOA was born on February 22, 1916 and died peacefully in her home on Saturday, December 8, 2012 in Pajarito, NM. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francesquita Chavez and Jacobo Barboa; husband, Harrell Day; sisters, Dora Martinez and Lala Meeks; brother, Saturnino Barboa; sons in law, Gene Ray and Melecio Sedillo. She is survived by her children; Frances Ray, Mel Sedillo and wife Sam, Marie Sedillo, Paul Sedillo and wife Marcia; grandchildren, Gene Ray Jr. and wife Laura, Anna Pobar and husband Marty, Edward Ray and wife Lori, Robert Ray and wife Debbie, Rick Vernon and wife Starla, Steve Vernon and wife Debbie, Rod Vernon and wife Henri, Cheryl Serna and husband Jeff, Jodie Hunt, Janet Jankowski and husband Joe, Kevin Barton, Donna Powell and husband Rick, Brian Sedillo, Jennifer Rivera and husband Jacobo. She was blessed with 34 great grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren. Jennie was a single parent raising four children while residing in the south valley of Albuquerque until she married Harrell Jennings Day in 1969. They lived in Hawaii and Virginia before returning to N.M. She managed dress shops in Hawaii (Hilo Harties), Santa Fe, and Albuquerque (Mayfair and Franklins). She was a huge basketball fan. The Lobos were her favorite team. Prominent in the Democratic Party, she was appointed by Governor Anaya and served as State Fair Commissioner from 1984 to 1991. In 1996 she was honored by the Democrat Party of the NM 1st Congressional District Hall of Fame which was presented by Governor and Mrs. Bruce King. Jennie was given the Inspiring Woman Award for outstanding achievement and service to the community in 2008. She was loved by her extended family and will be missed by all. Services will be held at Church of the Ascension 2150 Raymac Rd. SW. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 7:00pm with a Viewing at 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 10:00am with a Viewing at 9:00am. Burial to follow at Pajarito Cemetery on Coors Blvd. SW. and Pajarito. Pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons, Rick, Steve, Rod Vernon, Gene, Edward, Robert Ray and Brian Sedillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marty Pobar, Jeff Serna, Jacobo Rivera and Kevin Barton. TESKE, KATHERINE M. Age 88, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died December 7, 2012. She survived by her sister, Ruth Burris and family; grandchildren, Korinna Romero, Nicolas Romero and wife, Vanessa Romero with their two children, Angel and Nevaeh Romero of Albuquerque, NM. Mrs. Teske was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Teske and daughter, Sandra K. Teske. Katherine Teske was a devoted sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted and a faithful member to Hoffmantown Church. Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper Dr. NE. REED, FRANCES NABORS Age 90, died at home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on December 6, 2012. Frances was born on March 5, 1922 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Bill and Josephine Nabors. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marie Alvey; her brother, Bill Jo Nabors and her husband, Myron W. (Red) Reed. She is survived by her three children, Linda and husband, Steve Radigan, Barbara Reed and husband, Gary Davison, and Kirby Reed; grandchildren, Michael Radigan and wife, Rhonda, William Radigan and wife, Nicole, Meg Radigan and husband, Jon Blaich, and Ryan Davison-Reed; and eight great-grandchildren, Malia, Reed, Emmaline, Charlotte, James, Joshua, Anna, and Josiah. Frances graduated from high school in Wichita Falls and received a bachelor's degree from Texas State College for Women (now Texas Women's University) in Denton, Texas. She worked at Sheppard Air Field during WWII. She moved to Albuquerque in 1945 with her parents. Here she met Myron (Red) Reed at a 20-30 Club New Year's Eve event. On February 14, 1946 they were married at the First Baptist Church. Frances was a longtime member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church and of a devoted bridge group of Martha Clark Barron (now deceased), Betty Shearer, and Sally Bryan. A Memorial Service to celebrate Frances' life will be held in early January. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be offered to a charity of your choice. Frances's charitable interests included the Roadrunner Food Bank, the National Wildlife and Sierra Club, the local PBS, her church (Immanuel Presbyterian) and the Barrett House ministries that works locally with abused and battered women. GOMEZ, PATRICIA SANTORO Age 65, a long time resident of Placitas passed away peacefully at Vista Care Hospice in Albuquerque, along side her loving husband, John C. Gomez on December 7, 2012. Patty was born in 1947 in Rochester, New York and later moved to New Mexico with her parents. She was preceded in death by her father James Santoro and mother Julia Baldasarre Santoro. Patty is survived by her husband of 25 years John C. Gomez of Placitas New Mexico; sister Louise Theresa Santoro of Rochester New York; step daughter Angela Gomez of Albuquerque New Mexico; grandson Elijah; granddaughter Sierra of Albuquerque New Mexico; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Patricia was a Court Reporting instructor at CNM and had recently retired. Patty loved to swim, ski, ice fish and she especially loved people. She brought joy, laughter and love to everyone she knew. Cremation has taken place and a small service is planned at a later date. Arrangements under the care of Riverside Funeral Home.

GORHAM, WILMA I. Age 81, died December 8, 2012 at Community Memorial Healthcare, Marysville. A Funeral service in Albuquerque, NM is pending. Wilma was born at Hope, NM on August 1, 1931 to David and Gladys (Jones) Duncan. On September 10, 1949 at Santa Rose, NM, she was united in marriage to Glenn E. Gorham. To this union five children were born. Wilma was a former minister of Bible Teaching Center in Albuquerque, NM and was a member of Marysville Christian Fellowship Church, Marysville. She loved teaching people the word of God and taking trips to Israel. Wilma was a homemaker and loved to garden. She loved nursing plants to life. During the holidays, people enjoyed coming to her house, because they had such crazy fun. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Glenn; daughters, Sharon Leegood, Shawna Lynell Trimmell; sister, Barbara Cummins; granddaughter, Mychelle Trimmell. Wilma is survived by children, Nancy L Gorham of Wichita, Glenn Dale Gorham of Marysville, Melodie L. Marx of Rose Hill; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

GARCIA, JANET L. age 63, passed on to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa on September 14, 1949 and lived her early years in a military family in many different locations. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Miles Wall, and her brother, Joseph Allen Wall. She is survived by her husband: Alexander T. (Tom) Garcia of Albuquerque; father: Joseph A. Wall and wife Cheryl of Albuquerque; son: Michael P. Huffman and wife Jenna of Hillsboro, OR; step-children: Amy Yocom and husband Ronnie, Sarah Garcia, Thomas Garcia and wife Luz, Steven Garcia and Shauna of Albuquerque; and grandchildren: Casey Mangano, Leonard Mangano, Rhiannon Mangano, Natasha Garcia, and Kaeley Yocom. Janet loved animals and people. She raised Love Birds and Parrots. She won many awards for her beautiful Love Birds. She was a longtime member of the New Mexico Bird Club and the African Love Bird Society. She would never turn down a chance to help or rescue an animal in need. She will be missed by family and her many friends. A private gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. SHUTCO, PAUL ANTHONY Age 28, loving husband, dada, son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend. Paul, born on August 5, 1984 was taken from us unexpectedly on December 6, 2012. Paul is survived by his wife Katrina; and son, Adrian Thomas; mother, Sheila Shutco and dad (Pops) Larry Moya; father and stepmother, Paul and Rose Shutco; his sister Cherisse Samora and brother David (Pinch'e) Samora; Stepbrothers Carlos Jones and Chris Moya; stepsister Amanda Moya; grandmother Shirlene Rainey ; grandfather Revel Rainey. ORNELAS, RUTILO Age 74, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. He was a beloved husband of 45 years to his wife Ruby. He was also a father to four sons and twelve daughters; a grandfather to fifteen grandsons; fourteen granddaughters; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. He will surely be missed by his loving family.
