Donato -- Marc Angelo Donato, age 17, passed away August 15, 2001 in Costa Rica, Central America due to an accident. He is survived by his parents, Veronica Donato of Albuquerque and Nicholas Donato of Costa Rica; grandparents, Martin and Carlotta Fischer of Albuquerque, Mary Donato of Albuquerque; one sister, Victoria Donato of Costa Rica; one brother, Adam and his wife, Yasmin Donato and their son, Jarrod Donato of Albuquerque; ten aunts and uncles, Vincent and Mary Jo Fischer of Los Alamos, NM, Gregory and Vaune Fischer of Albuquerque, Eddie and Monica Donato of Albuquerque, Arlynn and Mike Collard of Albuquerque, Tony and Shawn Donato of Albuquerque; and several cousins. He was a member of Calvary Chapel Southeast in Albuquerque. Marc will be brought back to Albuquerque for services and interment. Arrangements will be announced by Strong-Thorne Mortuary.

Donohue -- Naomi R. Donohue, 93, a resident of Belen for two years, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2001. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Naomi is survived by her daughter, Regina Toodie Beutler and husband, Bill of Belen; grandchildren, Susan Cohen and husband, Joel of Ft. Worth, TX, Michael Hart and wife, Susan of Encino, CA, Florence Puddie Slinde of Louisville, KY and Margaret Gins and husband, Joshua of Charlotte, NC; and five great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Donohue; and daughter, Charmaine Donohue. Naomi was a longtime member of Eastern Star. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Fry -- Anna Marie Fry, 40, passed away August 20, 2001. She was born and raised in El Paso, TX., and has resided in Rio Rancho the last six years. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed playing softball. Anna Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary H. Batten, and is survived by her husband, Leonard Fry; daughters, Jamie Eleazer and Lindsey Fry; father, Jim Eleazer; step-father, Melvin A. Batten; father-in-law, D. Leonard Fry; sisters, Pamela D. Quintana and Diana J. Ortiz; brothers, Stanley G. Batten, and Eddie Tellez; special loving friends, Evelyn and Frank Smith, John Malmquist, and other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Memorial services will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho, with a Rosary being recited on Friday, August 24, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2001. Kinney -- Thomas James Kinney. Mr. Kinney passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2001. A native New Mexican born July 1, 1914, he voluntarily joined the U.S. Army at the age of 27 and saw action in the European Theatre. At the rank of Captain, he was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He returned to New Mexico at the end of the war and was President of Kinney Brick Company nitl 1973. He served on the board of directors of several corporations in Albuquerque and sponsored many charitable causes during his life. He is survived by his wife, Lorene; their three sons, Jim, Bob and Bill, and their families. In keeping with his desires, there will be no memorial service.

Lovato -- Joseph A. Lovato, Albuquerque artist died August 17th after a long battle with leukemia. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. He is the beloved son of Donaciano and Fabiola Lovato. He is survived by his sister, Lisa King; brothers, Don Lovato and Peter Lovato and Anthony Lovato. He was much loved by his numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Rosary will be held August 23rd at Queen of Heaven Catholic Chruch at 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. for the Eulogy. Funeral Mass will be announted at the Eulogy

Lucero -- Steven Andrew Lucero, age 31, a resident of Rio Rancho was born on March 26, 1970 in Albuquerque; and passed away into the arms of his Lord and Creator, Saturday, August 18, 2001. Steven was the beloved grandson of the late Predicanda and Eddie Maldonado and Sara and Clemente Lucero and great grandson of the late Rosarito Maldonado. Steven was the beloved son of Ostacio and Rose Lucero; and brother of Robert Clemente Lucero all of the family home. Steven was the nephew of Roselie Lucero of Corrales, Marcella Garcia and husband, Bonifacio of Albuquerque, Kathryn Paroline and husband, Arnold of Monte Bello, CA, Benny Lucero and wife, Pina of Albuquerque. Also surviving are many cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. Steven is also preceded in death by uncles, Arneido Lucero, Alberto Lucero and Elizardo Gonzales; aunts, Frances Sena, Esidorita Lucero. Steven was a parishioner of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church; he was an 1988 graduate of Cibola High School; he loved the family ranch; and rodeo was his life. Steve will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew him. Final viewing will be this morning from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral services will be today at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Tony Torrez, Michael Sena, Eddie Cordova, Perry Cordova, Albert Lucero, Jr., and Ronnie Lucero. Funeral services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St., NW.

Madrid -- Richard Michael Madrid passed away at the young age of thirty-nine on Monday, August 19, 2001. He was a resident of Los Lunas and a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church. Richard worked for Express Script as a facility supervisor for over twelve years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max K. and Tarcila Madrid. Richard is survived by his loving wife of nineteen years, Angie Madrid of the family home in Los Lunas; his two children, Eric and Ilene; his two sisters, Mary Archuleta and her husband, Manuel; Emily Moraga and her husband, Jerry, all of Los Lunas; five brothers; Arturo Madrid and his wife, Rose of Albuquerque; Gilbert Madrid and his wife, Nellie of Roseville, California; Ray Madrid and his wife, Betty of Belen; Max Madrid of Gallup; and Larry Madrid and his wife, Margaret of Los Lunas; his father and mother-in-law, Tom and Marilyn Weiland of Belen; and one sister-in-law, Carol Madrid and her husband, Leo of Los Lunas. Richard is also survived by his loving nephews and nieces. The family requests that donations be made in Richard's name to any Bank of Albuquerque branch. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2001 at 5:30 p.m. at the Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church with a Rosary following at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 23, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Parish cemetery. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Padilla -- Shannon DeRae Padilla, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2001 at the early age of 36. She was a resident of Los Lunas and a member of the Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Joseph D. and Anna Barela; and her maternal grandfather, Wayne E. Moody. She is survived by her three children, Joseph M. Tabita, Ashley M. Moody, and Hillary C. Padilla; her parents, Robert and Dodie Moody; her three siblings, Wayne E., Kimmie Apodaca and her husband, Sammy, and Bobby and his wife, Terry, all of Los Lunas; and her paternal grandmother, Chole Moody, of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church, 25 Wesley Rd, with a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Dave Blackwell. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Peshlakai -- Peter A. Peshlakai, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1930, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2001. A devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ella Peshlakai of Albuquerque; daughters, Helen P. Gonzales of Houston, TX, Frances M. Peshlakai, Connie J. Peshlakai and Dorothy A. Willey and husband, Robert; son, Michael T. Peshlakai, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Larry Vigil, Debra Ann Sandoval, Sandra Marquez, Michael Garcia, Michelle Peshlakai, and Damian Peshlakai; three great-grandchildren, Anthony Ray Vigil, James Jordan Marquez and Christopher Torres; a loving neighbor, Rose Fulton and his goddaughter, Bernadette Watts; several brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Peshlakai worked for 23 years as a machinist at Sandia Labs. He was a well-known silversmith in the Albuquerque area. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Manuel Montoya reciting. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Therese Little Flower Church, 3828 4th NW, with Father James Suntum, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Michael Peshlakai, Louis Marquez, Chris Torres, Pat Sandoval, Larry Vigil and Robert Willey. Rusilko -- Mrs. Marilyn M. Rusilko died Friday, August 17, 2001, in Albuquerque at the age of 58. Mrs. Rusilko is survived by her son, David Rusilko and wife, Mona of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Robin Abbondanza of Honolulu, HI; brother, Howard Parks and wife, Pati of Rhode Island; and two grandchildren, Natasia Rusilko and Jessica Abbondanza. Memorial Services for Mrs. Rusilko will be held on Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the Communion Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
