Obituary for Sanchez

Nick G. Sanchez, 90, a resident of Placitas, N.M. passed away November 18, 2001 after a short illness. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for many years, then was employed with General Electric, until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hermino and Domitilia Sanchez, sisters, Elena Chavez and Barbara Sanchez, brothers, Tomas, Daniel and Ezequiel Sanchez. Also a son, Anthony Gene Sanchez. He is survived by one sister, Isabel Vallejos. He is also survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Helen Sanchez of the family home; daughters, Alyce and husband, Abel Chavez, Amy and husband, Ernest Costales, Lillie and husband, Dick Radtke, and Lorraine Sanchez of San Juan, Puerto Rico; sons, William, Robert and wife, Erma, Daniel and wife, Janet. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Chuch, 812 Edith Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a contribution in the name of Nick G. Sanchez, to Second Presbyterian Church or to their favorite charity. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE in charge of arrangements.
