George H. (Griff) Griffin, longtime Bosque Farms resident, died Thursday at his home. He retired as Master Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy after 21 years distinguished service. Subsequently he retired Civil Service after 20 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Mary A. Griffin. He is survived by eight children; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 26, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the Peralta United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dave Blackwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE are in charge of arrangements.
