Obituary for Sosaya

Robert T. "Bobby" Sosaya, 60, lifetime resident of Santa Fe, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2001, from a massive heart attack. Bobby was born November 27, 1940, to Frank F. and Ida Sosaya; Bobby was a self-employed master plumber. He attended St. Michael's High School and graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1959. He was known as Ramblin' Robert in high school because of his love of athletics. He attended Trinidat College on a football scholarship. Bobby was preced in death by his parents, two sisters Dolores and Helen Sosaya, and sister-in-law Serbie Sosaya. He is survived by daughters Robynn Sosaya Sena of Albuquerque and LaVonne Ronning of Santa Fe; sons Walter Sosaya of California, Robby Sosaya and his wife, Bridget of Kansas, and Mitch Stricklin and his wife, Colleen of California; brothers, Raymond Sosaya of Albuquerque, Frank Sosaya and Manny Sosaya of Santa Fe, Eddy Sosaya of Albuquerque, and Jimmy Sosaya of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Candace, Patrick, Christopher, Jennifer, Little Bobby, Nicholas, Luke, Paul, and Maggie; and great-grandson, Bobby; plus many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, May 20, 2001, from 4:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m., at McGee Memorial Chapel. Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m., at McGee's. Mass will be Monday at St. Frances Cathedral at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Rosario Cemetery.
