William L. Dobson, age 73, a life long resident of Magdalena, NM, died July 26, 2001 at his home. He is survived by his wife Helen Dobson of Magdalena, NM; one daughter, Grace Dobson of Las Cruces, NM; one son, Frank Dobson of Gallup, NM; aunt, Trini Garcia of Magdalena, NM; cousins, Ida Chavez of Belen, NM, Frank Howard of Magdalena, NM, Lawrence Bramlette, wife Karen and daughter Paula of Magdalena, NM, Lawrence Garcia of Albuquerque, NM, Dr. Joe Garcia of Albuquerque, NM, Dr. Mike Lavin of Long Beach, CA, Maria Luisa Clarkston of Portland, OR. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive him. William was a member of the San Miguel Parish in Socorro. Visitation will be held Monday July 30, 2001 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with a rosary to follow at 7:00 pm at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Magdalena, NM. Mass of the resurrection will be held Tuesday July 31, 2001 at 11:00 am at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church also in Magdalena with Fr. Edward Domme officiating. Interment will take place at the Magdalena Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Dobson, Michael Zamora, Matthew Zamora, Tommy Montoya, Ray Martinez and Larry Cearley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Elvires Otero, Telesfor Chavez, Mike Jaworsky and Dan Brandes. Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM is in charge of his arrangements.
