Mrs. Josephine Saavedra, 81, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on July 21, 2001. She is survived by three daughters, Rosemary Saavedra, Loretta Sanchez and Dolores Dawson and husband, Edward; one son, Edward Saavedra; one brother, Jesus Martinez; three grandchildren: Josephine Sanchez, Maria Saavedra and Christopher Saavedra; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Saavedra was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with visitation after 6:30 p.m., Martha Herrera reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with visitation at the church after 8:30 a.m. Father Roberto Fenzl, celebrant. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be: Zacaris Salazar, Howard Sanchez, Raymond Zellner, Orlando Saavedra, Edward Dawson and George Martinez. Honorary will be: Louie Sandoval. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW in charge of the arrangements.
