Frances Thaxton Ash, 95, born February 2, 1906, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, July 15, 2001. She is survived by her late husbands family, including; Miriam True of Rio Rancho, and family; Jane and Hank Ash of Silt, CO, and their children; Deborah Ash Goode of Mesa, AZ, Greg Ash of Scottsdale, AZ, and Dan Ash of Ponca City, OK; Shirley and Sid Ash of Albuquerque, and their children; Kathleen Ash-Milby of New York City, NY and Randy Ash of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, William C. Thaxton; her mother, Florence L. Thaxton; and her husband, Oliver Knox Ash. Frances graduated from Albuquerque High School Class of 1924, was a member of Central United Methodist Church, the ADA Chapter #5 of Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2001, 10:30 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Rev. Marty Singleterry, officiating. A luncheon will follow the graveside service. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Friday, July 20, 2001, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
