Obituary for George

Ms. Corky George passed peacefully in the arms of her family on Oct. 26, 2001. She was a resident of albuquerque for more than 45 years. We knew little that morning that God would call your name. In life, we loved you dearly. In death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. But you did not go alone. For part of us went with you. The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories. Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonita and Saul Lujan; brothers, Saul Lujan Jr., Philomeno Lujan and Jerry Lujan; sisters, Sally Sprunk and Tillie Lujan. She is survived by her loving children, Jeri May, son-in-law, Fred May, and two granddaughters, Mackenzie and Colbie of Wahiawa, Hawaii; and her daughter, Joetta George of Redondo Beach, Ca; sisters, Helen Trujillo and Al Chavez of Albuquerque, Portana Apodaca of Albuquerque, Mary Serna of Grants, Nora Kaiser and Joe Kaiser of Denver, Co., Gloria Sedillo of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Nestor Lujan of Tijeras; special companion, Leonard Littlepage; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family who will deeply miss her. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Place SE, where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rosary Service will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. S.W.
